Im for it since it will still take time to haul the stuff.
Post here only if you want it global, otherwise head over to the no to global thread.
EDIT the lag issue is no biggy, they just make sure the search feature is shown first when market is opened. But If you want to scroll trough then its your problem :) and the mighty loading screen will showup.
This post is about a day behind the NO one, but I dont think it will matter in the long run. |

I'm for it too, but I think you'll find that most posts in the anti-global market thread are actually for a global market too

That makes sense. Add empire-wide communications (global market view) but end the highways (make the galaxy big again) as a way of recovering some local regional distinction.
Rather then going to the center and hitting the 5 main regions to price a purchase, you'd be able to check prices from anywhere. But may have to make a choice between travel time and price.
Rather than just the one central market, Eve would end up with multiple commercial localities. A global market view would actually complement this by making the more attractive commercial centers widely visible, and thus more likely to draw settlers.
Globalizing the market is ok. BUT ONLY IF the highways are destroyed.
