Sorry if this has been asked before but what is needed for this. I have a bpo that needs copying and seeing as there is a lack of labs, this must be the easiest way to go.
TIA

you need a small control tower (at least small) and a mobile lab.. and lotsa ISK.. if you're anywhere near lonetrek and your corp might want to work together with mine we could come up with a POS together and use it.. :)

If the cost and demands to setup a POS are offsetting to you, then you might want to consider one of the reputatable POS lab services out there. They come in 3 basic types:
Alliance Labs : Your corp joins an alliance, rents an office near the alliance POS labs, you remotely research. Pros: Lots of labs, spread over multiple systems; BPOs stay in your corp hanger, so you maintain security. Cons: Most expensive of the three usually; you'll need someone in your corp with research and remote research skills. War risk as the alliances could become a target.
'Secure' Labs : You exchange your BPO for a lump sum of isk, say 70% of NPC value. They perform research as directed. Once the work is done, you trade back and include any agreed fees. Pros: Someone else does the work and anyone in this line of work should have max skills. Generally moderately priced. Cons: Illusion of security, the collateral offered may be legit, but anyone willing to scam you for 100%, will just as happily take 30% (using the example price). The collateral should at least minimize your losses. You may have to move the BPOs a bit to make the exchange.
Non-secured Labs : You give your BPOs to someone else. They do the work. Once complete, they give you the BPOs back in exchange for the agreed upon fees. Pros : Generally cheapest of the options. Someone else does all the work, you dont need skill sets. Cons : Greater scam risk as the only assurance offered is 'rep'. Basically a huge trust issue. You may have to move the BPOs a bit to make the exchange.
There are a few reputable firms in each category with established practices. You can find some in the Sales forum and Market Discussion Forum. If you cant find any you like, eve mail me and I can give you a few names.
