Yes, u read right. U have to be a pirat to have fun, to get rare ore and to make the big money. Examples:
- Safe spots will become useless (bonus for pirats)
- u can get shot in 0.4 sec system and below(bonus for pirats)
- u canŠt mine in any alliance controlled regions without fear to meet pirats at a gate(bonus for pirats)
U have to be in a strong alliance to survive, but all alliances canŠt hold back mOo even in their own territory. Pirats kill every ship thats not allied with them in 0.0 and can still fly through empire space and wave at the concord ships.
How about makng the game abit more fair for the small miners and non-pirat players?

1) Good for pirate hunters, thank god for this change.
2) You can? Not more than you can right now as fas as I know.
3) I'd be more afraid of the alliance itself TBH.

I disagree.
I'm not a pirate, I'm not in a big alliance and my haulers have never been cought by pirates.
oh I wonder if i'm the only non pirate/Strong alliance player who is still having fun.

Have you actually tried it or are you just getting scared by reading these forums ?
It's a serious question cause i talk to lots of people that take these forums as representing the way Eve really is. Well they don't.
In reality, eve is pretty safe, even the alliance regions. I shouldn't give any hints prolly, but either contact Xetic since they might allow you in, or just sneak past the chokepoints around downtime and find yourself a station that isnt used much to use for a base for a while. Then mine when you can and run when you must.

Some people seem to think that .04 space and below is an instant trip to the cloning vats for independents. These people need to use some imagination, nerve and daring to figure out how to make a living in EVE. It can be done. If anyone doubts this, convo me in game and I'll tell you the story of Galendor Gallente. Its a good one.

Stupid post. If you dont want to get killed stay in 0.5+, if you want lots of rare ore and stuff grow some balls and start fighting for it. Whining and begging on the forums wont do you any good. Pirates own people because they are experienced, skilled and organized, and because they know how to fight and dont sit in empire space making stupid posts on the forums. Same thing for all good pvp corps.

Well I am not gonna call your post stupid. Lets just say it is not properly thought out.
There are 2 things you can do too resolve all three of your posts.
1) Make sure you ship is equiped to run gates. Since the patch every ship class can now successfully run ANY pirate blokade now. So long as it is properly equipped and you have the skills to do it.
2) Pay attention to local. If you see pirates in the system be on your toes. In my opinoin that makes this more fun.
You see beating a pirate is not about blowing him/her up, it's about blowing through there blokade and as you do flipping them the bird. Thats more fun in my book.

They did NOT get what they wanted. And you kept what you earned.

Eve is NOT a MMORPG as it claimed on its release. Its a 3rd person fighting sim. Lots of those out with better game mechanics.

Pirates own people because they gang up and gank noobs while camping a gate in 0.4 space....
They run and hide if anyone with even a chance of hurting them shows up in a system, now explain who needs to grow a pair.

I am not a pirate and I have nothing against pirates at all...some of the coolest people in irc are pirates.
I've been running missions and mining in 0.2-0.3 space since Christmas and havent been podded yet.
You just have to use some tactics....like any other mmorpg out there

Not always... Look at m0o and co fighting the Fountain Alliance
It's not purely a pirate game... pirates are just one part of the multi faced game that is Eve. And the Fountain Alliance are actually enjoying this war with the interlopers...

My advice to you is join a corp that is strong. That is why there are corps. EVE is based on Teamwork and working as a group. Doing your own thing is possible you just need to be very careful and Be Fast! Really Fast!

Candy. Sorry but you don't seem to know what you are talking about. There are many pirates in game, but really if you know what you are doing they are not a problem. They can actually be very good for business even. Since well obviously people don't seem to dare to go out to 0.0 anymore it also has far more exotic ore. So go out there and figure out how to get it home.

Yes the game is now a "Pirate" game, and many are getting fedup with it. PvP is a great thing, but human nature being what it is, there will always be those who get "wood" by making life shiite for others, eg "campers&gankers".
Fact is, a solo player is VERY hard pressed to keep a ship flying even in secure space... (.5 and above that is), there is nothing worth mining ... CCP has made it so that to get anything of value you have to head to 0.0, Ok.. fine, but if you allow PvP in supposedly "secure" areas you'd better have the program rock solid, right now it's too buggy... you lag out... random jump in points means you can't predict when to hit your MWD to even TRY to get away before your toast.
Yipee.. fun.. whoopie... PK"ers just hang out at a good choke gate.. sit around gabbing.. "gang Bang" anyone who warps in.. and takes their hard earned goods, PVP in 0.0 space sure.. but in secure space it should be NPC only.. period. That would at least give smaller players, corps a chance to get a leg up to go to the bad part of town.
Will CCP listen and respond? HAH.. not bloody likely..,.. will this get flamed and trolled by the UberFanbois and the "Numptey Muppets" of Eve.. you betcha.
Will ANYTHING change for the better? Not untill CCP looses enough players to become scared... that hasn't happened yet.. but god willing soon...

1. God this has been needed for SOOOOOO long its not funny.
2. Carebear whining got sentries in the first place, i dont suppose these things are cheap to build....Not to mention they kill more non-pirate people that pirates, because most of the pirates I know are bloody well smart enough to stay way the hell out of their range, or be able to withstand their firepower. Oh dont have to brains to understand this? Dont have to brains to use mwd's while traveling? Go download an intellect module.
3. Alliances = Pirates. Or at least thats what i think. Alliances are more likely to kill you first, ask questions later. And most of the pirates out there are out to screw the Alliance holding the place, its not THEIR fault you are out there.

I'm just an average player with only an average hauler, and I've outran Biomass pirates more times then I've been caught. That's the price I pay for diving into the void.
The fun is in the chase, whether has the chaser or the chasee. A few weeks ago I barely out-ran Mongo Peck to a gate before his missiles hit...one more second and I would have been fish food. That is the kind of action that keeps you coming back for more..not falling asleep at the wheel while running agent missions.
Dare to be bold. Put together a plan and execute it. If it fails, go back to the drawing board and try again. You could get hit by a truck tomorrow...what do you lose by giving it a try?

Ohh.. Well DONE.. you completely missed the part where I said PVP is a GOOD thing, IN 0.0 SPACE, *sigh*.. ah well.. I'm not against PVP.. I"m against lame ass campers who sit and make life hell for honest people.. if you camp a gate the sentry guns should respond.. If you hunt in 0.0 you're good to go.. IF you hunt in secure space... Concord will respond within a certain period of time based on sec rating.
I did not say lose the PvP.. but make it at least less exploitable by "GankHoles" who just want to ruin someones day.
