As the name spoils it a little bit, this is a video about the Scimitar and its abilitys. It contains mainly smaller fights and its my first video so bare with me.

2560x1600, holy crap  you must have a crazy monitor. The one downside of half-size at that size is that it'll be very hard to read the text, but on the other hand, I can imagine trying to play back a 2560x1600 video

Just to note, if you're going to use MPEG-4 use Xvid; the "Microsoft MPEG-4 codec", aka "Divx ;-)" is horribly outdated; it was the first publicly released MPEG-4 codec, made by hacking Microsoft's one.

I have long felt that I was one of the only players to enjoy flying this niche combat ship, pre Rev 2. I am glad to see that someone else saw the potential in this ship. Even with the changes it will never be popular, but every ship deserves it's time in the spotlight.
I will edit my post once I have seen the vid, but it is comming in at 15k/sec atm so it is going to be over 9 more hours till I have it. |

that was very cool... I might blow the dust off mine and take her for a spin :D Do please tell me, what hardware you're running to get that res and still be playable? also try toggling the widescreen option in the eve client for more 'space'

Thanks for the feedback so far.
I used the MPEG4 codec because I dont want people to download extra files just to watch the movie. The filesize suffered on that one though, so for the next one Ill probably try to find a better codec.
Im using a 30" monitor from DEll (3007WFP) and im very happy with it. CPU is a E6600 from Intel and gfx card is 8800GTX. The reason I use the "widescreen" thingy is because you get that nice black background around your modules. That way you can always tell whats active/inactive.
Regarding that laste scene, if you watch it again you will notice that the myrm pilot didnt made any mistake but rather I did. The hostile was killing the friendly drones and therefore he had to scoop/relaunch them to prevent damage. It was my mistake that I did not notice that during the fight (I could have repaired the drones).
The fight did end up with the hostile stopping aggro and jumping out while the friendly only had one drone left so It couldnt brake the tank.

Well, I have to confess that I am the myrm pilot.
And I have kicked my self in the ars for that fight.
I was packing 5x heavy beserkers II and tbh I did'nt notice my first two drones pop. The other pilot did how ever know what he was doing so he continually increased the distance between us then turning the web on a single drone and consentrated all his dps on that one. Won't take too long to pop a single drone for a good myrm pilot.
At the end we where both playing that drone poping game so there was'nt much dps going on after that, hence he jumped out.
I would'nt be suppriced if he had armor pump rigs cause his tank was just bloody sweet.
Having yarr in his schmitar in a gang can turn the fight around completely.
The logistic ships are most deffinetly underrated and they're pilots should get a hell of a lot more credit.
Now come over here yarr and give me some hairy manlove you hunk.
