just wondering if you die / get podkilled etc while transporting a package on a player created courier mission will you lose the mission and lose your collateral? i was podkilled the other night but it was my first death and i lost the mission but did not lose the collateral... any help would be nice, i cant find a exact answer on this and have been searching for a while

you can;nt deliver it so of course you lose collateral

still curious why i didnt lose collateral when i was killed then.... thats what is confusing, i think naturally that if you die you cant complete the mission but for whatever reason the mission was reset back into the courier search i cloned back to the station and was able to take the same mission again and complete it never losing any collateral on the first attempt... or the second attempt... here is the statement fromt the player guide that is confusing to me
"If the mission is completed on time, the collateral is instantly returned to the MT (it is released from escrow and put back into the MT's regular liquid cash pile). If a mission is not completed, the collateral is transferred out of escrow and into the MI's cash account. This only occurs when the mission timer runs out - there is no way to immediately fail a mission, even if the package is "broken" or otherwise lost or destroyed. "
anyone else died and lost the collateral for the courier missions? player created ones that is

ok the collateral is always taken from your wallet when you accept mission you will not have got it back, the missionwill have been set up again itsounds like you were being scammed by peopel who killed you, they set up missions tolow security and then camp and kill anyone who accepts the mission.
