Some of your web-board warriors may have noticed the thread recently, where Racketeers were accused of faking a carrier killmail.
Well, we recently went to war with another pirate-type corp, Darkness Inc., and early in the war, we ganked a Drake. So, I'm comparing our killboard to their killboard (just making sure we/they are posting all their losses) and I notice some differences.
DKI had buffed up their killmail by making it look like we were using faction missiles, and had also removed the destroyed arby launchers that were present in our killmail.
Now, my first reaction was "...wait, we've done it again?" But looking closer, the DKI mail has some blank items in the hold that were destroyed, which means one of two things...
1) Killmail bug (What, bugs in Eve? Never!)
2) DKI fake
I'm gonna guess the most likely course of action here was path two.
So, for all you holier-than-thou capsulers constantly condeming Racketeers for their ebilness, just remember - if the 'Good Guys' are playing the same dirty trick as us, how can anyone be considered honourable or credible?

Tho comparing theyr killboard with your killboard, they got more trust from me than your, u already aproved that u fake killmails on your.

Actually it may just be a killboard bug. Maybe they tried to tweak with the code to account for the new plethora of faction items in the game and as a result erased all of the regular t1 version.

Valandril: I don't care what others think of us, I just care what WE think of ourselves. Many RAK don't post their loss mails, which we'd rather have them do, cause we can all learn from those mistakes, and it also makes bragging easier when we're actually sure we're winning.
Zardenim: I've read all four versions of your post. It made sense to me. /me offers hugs
Master Spoonman: If you actually look at the killmails, they're different, it aint just the KB. And besides, that wouldn't account for the (expensive) missing arby launchers.

It's one thing to not care what others think of your corp, and it's another entirely to go about acting like a ****wad about it, like we had to deal with in the afforementioned thread.

Sorry to make you look a c**t here 3Lance but I had our killboard doesn't accept the Faction missiles so I amended them.

Our killboards are bugged to hell and back. They add stuff that wasn't in the original killmail, remove stuff that was (every single cargo expander T2 is removed from the killmails for example) and even make such interesting stuff as this: http://dki.evehub.com/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=2389
So take what you see there in regard to fittings with a pinch of salt. Also, if you see any kill missing in there, forward it to us and we will post it.
As to us "buffing up our killmail by making it look like you were using faction missiles", you killed a Drake with a gang that included 10 BSs, why on earth would we need to alter your weapons on purpose?!?

Screwed-up killmail. It happens all too often, unfortunately...
For clarification, both killmails are wrong. My killmail states:
High slots - various Navy HAMs
Mid slots - webber, damper, ECM
Lowslots - BCS
Hold and drones - jammer drones, Navy HAMs, Ti sabot, unidentified thingies
Their killmail states:
High slots - Arby HAM Launchers, T1 HAMs
Medslots - webber, damper, ECM
Lowslots - BCS
Hold and drones - jammer drones, T1 HAMs, Ti sabot
In reality...
High slots - Arby HAMs and navy ammo were fitted
Midslots and lowslots are correct on both
Drones are correct on both. The hold contained some Navy HAMs, some T1 HAMs, and the Ti sabot.
My killmail lost the Arby HAM launchers and the T1 HAMs in hold. Their killmail replaced the loaded Navy HAMs with T1, and removed the Navy HAMs from hold altogether.
As a side note, Arby HAM launchers are 1 mill each, or so. Navy HAMs aren't exactly expensive either. It would be an absurd forgery.

...and I've just completely wasted 20 minutes of my employer's time collating that info, when the thread ended ages ago.
Oh well. Time to go home now I suppose! Now where did I put those spare Arby HAMs...?

People should take killboard information with a pinch of salt.
Basically, I see killboards as three things: (in order of importance)
1) phycological warfare
2) tactics and setups analysis
3) e-peen pumps.
They do not, and are not intended to show and accurate representation of how EVE is doing.
They are merely a tool, not a log.

I'm sorry but I just had to respond to this... You're about as "ebil" as a fluffy huggy bear. I respect the kind and measured way that your corp responded to this thread. Really though... HAM launchers and you want us to think your really nasty. When one of your corp mates manages to ransom a Rokh for over 1Billion ISK while flying a Tristan. Or when you get an enemy so wound up during a war that they pod their own members right out of the game. Then you can say you are something like Rak.
