Do not make friends with Commander Andrews. He's running scams.. He'll get friendly with you.. and once he feels safe offer to do a mission with you.. Warp you to a safe spot then send in his pirate alt Vasili vonHolst to gank you.
YOu have been warned.

I find it comical that the guy that used to own your character knows Vasili vonHolst.

Man for someone to do that, IMO they could maybe be pretty mest up in the head even in RL or not but it make you think.
I bet they are actualy ok in Real life and that is what is strange to me if someone was ok in RL but so messed up interacting on the internet.

I remember in my early days of eve mining scordite in Niya with my corpmates. Along came the local ore theif n stole hours of our work (pre criminal flagging was introduced). Lots of the corp were quite annoyed with this chars actions. I remember convoing Tanaj and asking why she chose such profession in eve, why choose to be a thief and get grief everywher the char went.
Her (Her because she explained Tanaj was her RL name spelt backwards) reply was simple and obiously memorable as this was over two and a half years ago. She told me she was a bank manager IRL, and as this was a game, she felt she would carve a profession out of stealing other peoples ore as it was the complete opposite to her RL and not somthing she could do at work :)
I guess the point I am trying to make is that this is just a game, dont cast shadows on anybody's RL from their actions ingame, its just a game. Eve is escapeisim in its purest form, just get some revenge.
o/ Tanaj if your still playing.

you lost a snake. a RATTLESNAKE?!
if so you didn't deserve that ship tbh...
And this is after all still a game so people don't have to be "messed up in their brains" just because they are pirates and trick you into traps...that's reserved for smacktalkers that think their e-peens matter. those need some help indeed.
obviously you will only make every mistake once. i hope at least.

I was obviously stupid for trusting the bait character and fitting the ship to help with a level 4 mission specific. I was pretty upset about it at the time but it is after all a game and they played the game "mechanics" well. Being scram'd and nossed in a high sec system came as a shock and I was flustered by being betrayed. It is just a game and the ISK for the fittings and ship can and will be recouped in time it's just frustrating being a part time player and having lost all the time involved to acquire those items. I would have been substantially more upset if I had lost my implants too but oh well.
Needless to say I wont fly with anyone I don't know ever again which is the sad part as now you cant trust anyone and make new friends in game since you never know who will betray you and who wont.

No suprises here...
Btw these guys have 'many many' characters/accounts/alts.
You can spot a lot of them from corp history, most of them at one time or another have joined the same corps (the original corp hoppers of eve) *hardin aside
GL anyway, these guys know all the tricks ______

I've never had this happen to me, as I don't generally gang with people I don't know, it's a bad idea... but in theory could you not just leave the gang as you were being attacked? Would that not bring concord down on his ass?
*shrug* Not sure if that works or not, but it'd be the first thing I'd try. Then comes the shooting. :P

once flagged you are on a 15 min timer regardless of being in the gang still or not. and to be flagged all it takes is for something to be moved from a jet can.

This is actually very very very VERY simple to avoid. Create the gang yourself and do not accept invitations. If you joined a gang already, leave it the instant a new member joins.

How would you turn the table on these types of people if you know that you're being set up? If you're in a Raven, I'm guessing they'll try to kill you with a Nosdomi?
