Okay I have been playing for just around 3 months and I need to ask if the ISK's were always this easy to make with just 2 accounts?
I have read some postings about how people have difficulties making any money in this game and I wonder what they do not too make money.
I just use 2 accounts, one for missions, and one for trading (selling) the loot I pull from wrecks. I fully salvage also and we are preparing to move into building items.
How many other people here have a pure trade/indunstrialist pilot who sole job is to sell/produce items for profit?
Thanks

Depends on your standards. How much money are you actually pulling in? PvP-ing in battleships can eat up hundreds of millions a month. Freighters cost a billion. Motherships are 30 billion minus skills and fittings.
If you're only doing missions and trading, then you're unlikely to lose many ships, so expenses are low with decent income.

I'm currently in 0.0 and find myself in a tight spot money-wise. Only income now is ratting (which I dont do often) or loot I find from PvP. If I keep the modules I find usefull, especially the t2 ones theres not a lot of money to be made and as I pvp in BC's and cruisers it's expensive if I lose a ship.

Making money is easy if you stay out of corps and sit in empire running missions/salvage etc.
Easily 200-300 mil per week on 3 hours a day.
But its boring. Sitting there watching the digital numbers go up up up.
What the point of even playing.
Living outside of highsec costs more money in losses, is more challenging, and carries more risks, but its more fun and in a corp you actually have ppl to talk to.

I to have a dedicated industrialist/miner/market worker.
He has some very nice mining/refining/production skills that come in handy for my main character as he can mine, refine and build the ships that my main flies. That saves me a ton of money, and I try to always keep at least two or three ships prepped and ready to go for my main.
I also use this mining/refining char to scout and play escort for my main when he goes to empire to fill his mammoth with market items to sell for a substantial mark up in 0.0 space.
I simply use my industrialist in a shuttle (or cheap frig)that he has built (only costing me time and a few production isk) so that if i jump into a bubble or gate camp (or both ) then I don't loose my high value load in my T2 fitted mammoth. I simply loose 10-20k isk ship on my industrialist (who by the way, if he get's snagged in a bubble or tackled... always ejects and flies off to a planet, on the way making a ss, then comes back to the ss and logs, before the ship goes pop because getting podded on a scout mission really sucks since you now have to fly back to your main). Then I simply log my main off at a ss in the system before the gate camp and wait it out.
I can make 100-200mil per day with this two account, scout/hauler/pvp'r/miner/industrialist set up.

i have 2 accounts.
I stay in empire for 6 months and gather up 10's of billions and a sack load of fitted ships, then head off back into 0.0 and stay for 6 months without having to worry too much.
its a weird system but i dont like to swap and change too often so i stick to 6 months blocks, back to 0.0 in about 2 months for me :)

It would be really helpful, if you can elaborate more about the activities you do to earn 10's of billions in 6 months. Please kindly share with us.

Edited by: Xtreem on 11/07/2007 12:33:52 Edited by: Xtreem on 11/07/2007 12:31:40 please see my sales forum post were i make 250mil a week minimum setting up high sec pos.
250mil x 4(rough weeks) = 1 billion 6(months) x 1(billion) = 6 billion
i do this service while running mission = 50mil per average day including bounties as im lazy and dont run too many
50(mil) x 30(days) x 6(months) = 9 billion
pos mining thulium = 70 mil per week (profit) 70 x 4 = 280mil 280 x 6 = 1.6billion
Trading between hubs while afk in hauler = aprox 250mil a week just doign while afk with hubs market alts checking prices.
250(mil) x 4 (weeks) x 6 (months) = 6 billion
thats a minimum intake of 22.5 Billion (which is why the 10 come in, as the ten is a unit, i have 2 of these hence the 's on the end)
Plase note thats usuing my minimum intake, as it does not include the LP store, implant missions, ad-hoc pos jobs (daily rate is 75mil which works out 525 if done that way weekly) plus it only takes me 5 days for a 0.7 gallente POS so its only 5 days for 250mil
iv made it as simple as i can so you understand :)
so please dont go telling me im wrong :) you obvioulsy have no idea how to make money properly

I know a new player who started with 1million and ended up with over 20billion in 4 months. And that was after he was suicide bombed a few times.
All he did was run stuff from jita to torrinos/agil and also set long range super cheap buyorders and basically afk gather them up to resell in jita. Every penny of his profits was simply reinvested.

sorry but this is bull****! I was running Lvl 4 Missions (best LVL4 Agents) all the time, pick the loot and salvage the wrecks with around 3-4 hours/ day and im far far far...even farer away to get 300M/week. Even if get some money doing Missions you can loose much during a typical lag, computercrash or underestimating Missions. Ist nearly impossible to get so much money in Empire if you cant play 24 hours a day.

Best lvl4 agents - Define "best"?
My alt does lvl4's semi afk while I focus on pvp on my main. If I focus on my alt, then I can complete Angels Extravaganza lvl4 in 35 minutes or so. I can complete Worlds Collide killing pretty much everything in a hour max. And I get 8.5klp+ per lvl4 as well, which is worth around 10-15mil if you trade Faction Ammo. I make isk on my semi-afk alt while pvping on my main, and surprisingly, it is far more than I ever did ratting in Delve. Bounties, Salvage and loot are peices of the pie - focus on bounties only and you are basically eating the crust but ignoring the rich creamy centre of the pie.
I also buy minerals, Rig parts etc and manufacture BS's and a variaty of rigs. I have a good amount of BPO's and also I trade on the fly.
And I am trading now and again, both ingame, and also by finding bargins on the Price Check Forums to resell onwards.
Lets be honest here - Empire is a goldmine for people who can grasp it. On your mission running field - you need a pimp setup so you spend 20mins to do a lvl4 insted of 2 hours. The pimp setup pays for itself in more ways than one, and in my case, doubled in value since the plex changes.

Edited by: Shinsema on 12/07/2007 13:51:18 I agree dead on with the 200-300m/week estimate on lvl 4's 2-3 hours a day. Thats exactly what I used to make when I ran them all the time.
xtreem....kudos to you for providing one of the best and most honest answers regarding earning isk on the forums. It's so nice to see someone spew high numbers and provide a reasonable breakdown to back the claim up.
BTW...I really don't think if you're concerned about maxing your isk/hour that most loot and salvaging is worth messing with on lvl 4 missions. Kill them and move on. You're wasting more time and losing money by doing all that stuff....IMHO

0.0 ratting and moon mining is the way to go. I make 40-60mil an hour from ratting and then 5 billion a month producing ferrogel (complex reaction), which will increase to 10bil a month once i get my T2 component manufacturing sorted.

I did lvl 4 Q20 combat missions in low sec and made roughly 2 bill per month solely on that, including building and selling battleships to other mission runners mostly from the Minerals I reprocessed from loot. 12k Lp's per mission and a +4 implant from every storyline which translated to 80 mill before they plummeted.
I was the slo-poke in my group doing missions slowly, others were clearing 100k Lp's per day to my 50k. (albeit not in 3 hours a day tho) Now I do hi-sec missions and get closer to a Bill per month plus another Bill easily from trading and Pos businesses.
Ask Chribba, I dumped 2 Bill on his Share issue last year. Yes you can make a pile of cash legitimately in Eve if you work hard and methodically and set goals. On the other hand if you swan around aimlessly you reap the rewards due to you from that. And from my brief look at 0.0 life I saw that most of the Peons are broke most of the time due to ship losses, and a shortage of regular reliable income. but the corp alliance big-shots are rolling in it. And most have their Hi sec industrialist trader Alts as well.

I'm not sceptical, but just curious on how to achieve that.
Thank you very much for those who have shared their way to become multibillionaires.
A corpmate can get a bil in around 4 month or less. I was fascinated, but now the insights you all have shared, will make me do smarter and smarter each day to be a multibillionaire myself.
Wish me luck...

well for the high sec pos, you need high standings for that faction (obviously 9+ is best and fastest) and you join corps to raise there corp standings high enough so they can put down a high sec pos.
missions are the best walk in way to make good isk.
btw i am not super rich, alot LOT richer people are in eve, im prob half way in the scale.
i do the 3 main ways of making money, all together, yet i dont use isk to pay for my game, GTC is not for me, at least not yet!

How in the world can you make that much? I only play 10-15 hours a week, but I do not earn anywhere close to that with mission running and salvaging. I am on Lvl 2 mission. Is this why the $ amount is so low? I usually average about 1 mil/hour. What in the world am I doing wrong?

i pay for 4 accounts with isk and still hav enough to buy pimp gear and PVP and I don't even play that much on my isk makers.
edit to say one more thing
make 100m isk a day off missions and loot/salvage 400m isk for a 90 day GTC. so in 4 days i have enough for 1 account.
and i will even say all i do to make isk is cosmos and lv 4 agents

you're doing L2's
even L3's are weak for the isk/hour... L4's is where its at.
My opinion is my own, not of my corp or my alliance. If you have problems, we can have a "who can do L4 missions faster" duel >:) |
