Looking to start producing Ammo, specificly in 0.0, other than the local NPC weak damage type, what ammo sells well to people leaning towards PVP?

Surely you can look on the data from the market?
But ill give you a hint: EMP & Antimatter.

The area has few ammo sales at insane prices, theres only a few spontainus buys every few weeks, I believe there could be some profit it I can produce them at a fairer price.

There is the key... For the most part people in 0.0 have the rather cheap Ammo BPOs because killing 1 or 2 rats pays for them.
Not to mention Corps and Alliances that have any real decent 0.0 time usually have the popular ammo BPOs.
Not trying to shoot you down or anything, I thought the same thing. Now I have 300-400mil in Ammo BPOs and there is simply not enough demand. If you want to test it, I would suggest you buy a decent amount of ammo haul it out there, and sell it for just above empire price. See how quick it goes. That's a good judgment of demand.

It's not enough to just supply the ammo, try adding ammo with the connected ship, guns, mods, if you have access to a carrier it all becomes that much easier.

Edited by: Feta Solamnia on 11/07/2007 06:09:47 If you want to sell t2 ammo you'll probably have to be daring. Empire is simply too much work. Way too much.
I'd suggest you take the common fleetbattle ammo prints (spike, gleam etc) and go 0.0 You see, people don't always have that type of ammo handy and from what I hear they usually import it. You could try and see in npc regions, but that definitely requires a carrier to do the haulage (and therefore some help with cyno's). I don't think curse would be your best candidate since it's too close to empire. You should try fountain, venal, stain (blood space is simply too small). Pretty far off from empire and quite some shooting going on there.
The logistics of the thing I didn't bother to check. It could be a breaking problem. Finally you have to ask yourself: is it worth the hassle?

And this is exactly why I sell the BPO 'sets' I do. It lets people build out there, without having to go weeks in trying to get a set of ammo researched up in the empire NPC labs. This way people can put ammo up and not worry if the station is going to fall in the next few days. If it gets blockaded and even lost, you only have a cheap set of ammo BPO's which you could replace in a few days anyway.
A good example of this is a client of mine, he bought 3 sets of every ammo BPO we make. He has them placed in Detroid, Scalding pass, and Curse. He flies around once per week at low times, puts in buy orders for minerals, kicks out a few stocks worth of ammo and moves around. From what he tells me it's a good business since there are people all over that don't mind buying ammo when it's not over 20% of what empire charges. After all the rats out there are 550k to 20 mill each at times. Spending a few million on ammo is nothing to some of those people.
I know it's not as great as it could be, but moving minerals around 0.0 can be hectic. He spent something like 800 mill on BPO's, last I checked it's been 6 months and he's said he's returned something over 4 billion and change from that little investment plus maybe 6 to 10 hours a week.
Give it a shot, long as your not incrediably greedy you should be fine. Even if you have a reseller buy you out, your still making ISK :)

I was going to provide a comprehensive list of the best-selling t2 ammo types here, but then I realized you might be a competitor. Shoo! Shoo! Out of my stations!
No?
Well, okay. Take a look at fleet compositions coming out of the area. It's a bunch of Caldari? Import missiles and Spike. Gallente? Spike, Void, Null, and Antimatter. Amarr? Aurora. Minmatar? Barrage, EMP, Fusion for the ratters, Carbonized Lead for the occasional newbie, Quake, and Tremor.

The short answer is "whatever the macroravens are using" because that's really where the largest volumes of ammo and endless demand will be. Even if it isn't going to the farmers, everyone else will be doing it the same :)
When I was in Fountain I had 4-8 Juggernaut slots running 24/7. A million torps a week was not uncommon. I dropped 4.5m torps on the market once and it was gone in a bit over a month, even with other people selling in competition.
At a certain scale the problem is NOT having the BPOs. The problem is having the ungodly amounts of minerals and factory slots required (except on amarr, outpost factory slots are too precious for bulk ammo) and running the logistics.
Once you start pushing around 100m units of trit and 1m torps at a time, things get complicated.
At the end of Xelas there, I ended up with a dedicated 0.0 freighter just to keep the transport under control.
But Xelas was probably an extreme case, there was a LOT of ravens (I didn't like it, but I sure made a lot in ammo sales).
