I fail as a pirate. But this story is still funny, I laughed all the way back into highsec at my own miserable attempt.
Basically, I thought I'd take my little blastercursus out for a spin in lowsec and solo kill something. Jump into the first .3 system I find and set some safespots up but local is empty so I go to the next system, same thing there and another jump. Here I find several people in local, after creating some safespots I decide to scan them down and I find a lonely Celestis in a belt.
I decide to take him out so I warp in, approach target, activate ab, lock and warpscramble and start firing. He starts defending himself rather than focus on the rats he were killing but I'm either to close or to fast for his guns. My small blasters slowly eat his tank away and he pops while I'm still at 50% armour. As I didn't see the mail icon flashing I knew the damn rats stole my KM so I go for his pod (I want a KM dammit), lock it and scram, and then my tank breaks to the rats that now saw fit to kill me as well. I warp off to a safespot to repair a bit before going back for the loot (which wasn't any good at all).
Now the sledgehammer of stupidity smack me in the head. I warp to station thinking I shall dock and get more ammo and stuff only to get popped by the sentries.
Yeah, I know you get killed by sentries in lowsec when global flagged but since I've lived in highsec and .0 only travelling through lowsec I forgot that it is not only gates that have sentries but stations as well. The worst thing was that the dude I poped was on the my KM as aiding the sentries 
I went back home in my pod laughing at my own stupidity.

Still, you get big points for pirating in the first place! 
To reduce your pain somewhat-
I noticed local jump by one, then by another five. I thought it was a gank gang come to kill me. Turns out the first guy is in a frig, and the rest are in 3x destroyers (2x catalyst, 1 cormorant) and 3x frigs (merlin, 2x tristans).
The first guy was in a merlin I think. Anyway, I scan them down to the top belt, and I see the first guy is already in his pod, and the other five have scrambled him and are now ransoming him.
I warp in at 180km with my sniper mega. 
First thing I do is pod the guy who they're trying to ransom. BOOM, they all lose -12.5% sec because they had scrams on him when I killed him. HAHAHAHA! I target a destroyer. BOOM, dead. Pod warps off to the gate. I put my guns on a frig, but he warps off in structure. I notice that they're all warping to the high sec out-gate. I warp to a sniper point at the same gate...
As I drop out of warp, I arrive just in time to see the remaining 4 ships (2 destroyers, 2 frigs) die to the sentry guns. I start locking all five of the remaining pods. I get every single one of them before they know what is going on. LOL!
So at the end, they all lost quite a bit of sec, all their ships, and I podded every single one of them. Plus I killed the guy they were chasing. All the loot was crap, so I just popped all the wrecks (I'm mean, can you tell?).
Moral of the story: always fraps everything, you never know when you'll get some great video lol.
