I want to watch EVE TV.
But I want to watch it on my terms. I want to watch it on my portable devices. I want SpiralJunkie's unique brittish voice saying "BOOM HULLSHOT" as my iPhone ringer.
Im willing to pay for these things.
iTunes meets all the requirments I can find for EVE TV.
Its nearly universal across operating systems. Its fast, dependable and popular. It has built in DRM that is already pretty industry standard. Its a proven company, with an excellent track record.
On top of all this it could garner a much larger audience, and be good for EVE as a whole since iTunes does a contextual matching thing that reccomends new items ot people. So if someone has a season ticket to Battle Star Galatcica, has purchased the entire Firefly series on DVD it might reccomend EVE TV to them.
You could distrubute (for a reasonable amount of money) the Alliance Tournaments immediatly after broadcast on these.
Why cant this happen ? It truly seems like win/win/win/win for everyone but Jalipo. And frankly with their poor performance record, their sub-standard viewer and their INCREDIBLY short sighted format I have no idea why one would use them to begin with.

I tend to agree. I'm not a MASSIVE iTunes fan, but it seems to fulfil every requirement of both MMM and the viewers (desire to have it downloadable, but DRM protected). I would probably pay for it if it were available through iTunes or an equivalent service. --------

Those of us who buy non-crap hardware would not appreciate it being distributed via iFail. -

I'm sorry, when the OP said 'portable devices' I didn't realize he was referring to operating systems. -

Well, I'd like to see you get Jalipo working on any mobile video player, of any brand you like. iTunes is still slightly more portable than Jalipo. --------

I dont think CCP would do this because Steve Jobs would take a pretty big chunk; more so than the current providers I'll bet.
