Hi, I bought a new ship a couple of days ago, and sitting at work a little bored right now, waiting to get home and play for a couple of hours I started wondering...
Is there a way of getting to my old ship to bring it back to my new "home" system, without having to take my new ship there (and therefore causing me the same problem but in reverse)?
I know I could probably pay someone to transport it for me or something, but I wondered if I could use my POD perhaps..? Just wanted a more "hands on" approach if there is one.
I've not lost my ship in combat yet so I've not actually got to use my POD - not that I want any of you guys to hunt me down and 'remedy the situation' lol
Also... I might be talking rubbish but I think I remember seeing an eject option when I right click my ship in space - what does it do exactly, I'm a bit too nervous to try it :)

Every empire station has Shuttles available, which are pilotable by all races. So if you don't have the Frigate skills for that race, you can still pilot their shuttles.
The shuttles run around 10,000 isk, pretty easy to come by, and are designed by CCP as a mode of cheap transportation to travel and pickup new ships. They have no module slots, but are very fast, and serve their purpose well..
Just look in the market under "Ships" then "Shuttles" and grab one at the station you're at. When you get in your new frigate, just trash the shuttle (Remember to empty it's cargo hold if you brought anything... trashed a MWD once doing that >_<) And head home with the new frigate/cruiser.

Soon™ you will be able to use InterBUS to move yourself and your stuff around.

No need to trash your shuttle when you leave it behind.. Just put it on sell order for the same 10k that you bought it for. It will sell eventually and there's no point throwing ISK away.
Also when buying a shuttle be aware that people have been scammed in the past to quickly buying one for 10M without paying attention.

Hi,
If you don't want to spend 10k on a shuttle there is a way to get ur ship using ur pod if ur willing to risk it.
First take ur ship outside the station to say 10km from the station. Then right clik the station and say dock. While u are heading in right click and then hover the eject button and then hover over the confirm button that appears, DO NOT PRESS IT YET!!! .
When you are near the station and it says that u are docking press the confirm button, u will eject in ur ickle pod but ur ship will dock at the station, thus u are now in ur pod ur ship is docked and u can go racing off to get ur ship. ----- Trixy says "Keep ur friends close but ur enemies even closer" -----
