If you're sick of dying to the pirates and want to learn how to fight back or just want to get an idea about starting off in frigate PvP check out my:
Rifter Pilot's Guide to Solo PvP
Contains information on fittings, game mechanics, target selection, and tactics as well as the skills you will need to be effective. Even if you don't want to fly Rifters it will still have some good information for you.
While I'm at it, check out my blog, Rifter Drifter, where you'll find stories of frigate fights, small gang roams, and articles on things such as ammo selection.

Good day everyone:
If you are looking to learn PVP, or just refresh your PVP skill book, Wensley's well written guide is a must read.
I also recommend reading http://www.rifterdrifter.com/2011/04/rock-paper-scissors/ as it is a great, advanced, foundation for learning about Minmatar PVP ammo.

Wensley did an excellent follow up article to the ammunition post at http://www.rifterdrifter.com/2011/04/ammunition-straw-poll-results/.
If you want to learn how to be a better PVP pilot, his Rifter Drifter guide as well as keeping up to date on his blog are a must (in my opinion).

Frankly most of the problems people who don't understand projectiles have revolve around falloff.
The quick and dirty guide to projectiles (medium and below) is use EFT and fit an equivalent number of Tracking Enhancer II and Gyro II.
Now look at the range and plan accordingly.
The straw poll is Wensley's own fault - his previous Rifter guide said "load barrage as default" (I paraphrase) and also EMP is max damage (which it was in 2009). Edit - I mean he took too long with Rifter v2.0 and there was much drama on forums at the time.
Need to tweak your google search stuff matey - or maybe not with the new shiny forum search. Mmmm we'll wait and see eh? |

Rifters, ah Rifters....
Not read the guide yet but will soon, if its good I will repost back and will offer a free rifter system to players keen to pvp :) |
