I posted, a similar topic before.
I'm still having trouble and my doubts about how the resistance of shield and armor and boosters improving resistance equipment work, and if the work at all.
So far, missiles have bin the only thing I could note a difference with when making use of shield hardners. It really halfed the damage the inflicted.
But weapons (turret) damage, No effect what so ever can be noted, for its still is scoring the avarage max damage hits it normaly is doing.
So, ehmm. Whats the deal with this?

Are you using the correct hardeners?
Some ammo inflicts kinetic, other EMP damage etc. Are you equipping the right hardeners for that damage type?

So how do you tell what type of ammo a NPC is packing?

Edited by: SLIM on 25/01/2004 04:49:53 Rats will usually use the type of ammo associated with their race. For example, Angels will use minmatar weaps, blood raiders use amarr, serpentis use gallente, etc etc. So for example, with the serpentis, a kinetic and thermal hardener combo is unbeatable... unless they happen to be launching EMP missiles at you. Minnie ships tend to be the hardest to read, but they'll have kinetic damage of some sort built in, so you might want to use that (despite your already high kinetic resistance).
The agent guys can be a bit harder to decipher, as what they use can be variable. I like to use Kinetic/Thermal for them, as it's almost guaranteed to cover most of their damage type. ---------------------------

There aren't even any matches for Serpentis, let alone the names of any pirates.
