ok,
me and a corp mate are having a debate.. of course we both know that ferox's get turret bonus' now. however one of us claims that the ferox originaly got missile bonus. and the other believes that ferox never got missile bonus, calidari pilots still used missile loadouts on the ferox.
so, one of us believes that the original ferox had missile bonuses to kinetic and velocity. and got nerfed on the first patch following the release of the BPO. switching it to rail bonuses.
the other one of us believes that the ferox was always was turret bonuses, but calidari pilots fitted it with missiles and used it as a tanking caracal. on there way to getting into a raven, properly.
this debate is to the point where there is a bet, so honest responces only!
so who is right?

Always had a Hybrid optimal range bonus, but has a 5/5 split of turrets and launchers, plus a nice passive tank, so people just used missiles because it was easy-mode lvl 3s before the Drake came along.

The ferox with a missile bonus still exists ... it's called Drake :-)
No, ferox never had a missile bonus.

Some people might be confusing it with the command ship.
The Nighthawk gets a missile bonus, I am sure you already knew this, but it could be the source of the confusion.

As an Ex Ferox pilot...
It was usually a step from Cruiser to Battleship, something we could carry over our missile skills from the Cruiser, but be a little more beefy. lvl 3 missions were a sinch then. Most pilots, I think, used it as long as they had to to get inside of a Raven.
I used to go back into a Ferox for a lot of situations though. It still packed a punch, and I didn't have to worry about losing my Raven while I ran missions in low sec.
As far as I know, it always had the turret bonus, which if it came with a missile bonus, I don't think anyone would ever leave that ship.
