The past 4 weeks KIA Alliance has been on contract vs RISE and ISS in KOS space.
The contract was very simple, protect KOS assets, disuade any attack planned on KOS stations, and cause as much damage and disruption to Rise/ISS pilots as possible.
The contract started off poorly, with a large Loss to a mixed Rise/Bob fleet in KOS home system of KW- (9 BS lost for about 50% kills), and then another large loss to a Rise Fleet in an engagement we were not prepared for (19 BS lost for 27 mixed cruiser classed kills).
In short in the first week KIA lost 28 Battleships, whilst only killing half that number.
These were teething problems for us, as we tried to come to grips with the new tactics we were determined to hone and integrate into our fleet fighting, but we knew this wouldnt be easy, to change our style of play, to think outside the box and progress from the highly effective gank squad we had become, to something a little more.
In those 2 losses KIA as a group and as individuals learnt more about the game than we have learnt in many many months. We discussed, argued, discussed, argued some more and then pressed on, determined to make it work. Ship setup changes were in full flow, with the entire alliance aligning themselves to a given ethos, and we looked to the next battle to test ourselves.
From there on in (at this point we had lost nearly 4 billion isk of ships, about 50% with our marks!) the investment of time and ISK started to pay us back.
The following 3 weeks KIA did not lose a single fleet engagement, with large landslide victories attained by my pilots on several occasions, we have been able to reproduce the fleet warfare of people like Outbreak with huge success with great effectiveness, as was our goal for this contract.
The KIA fleet stories will follow from Necro, the wins and the losses told from our POV, but needless to say we exit this contract feeling as though we have re aligned ourselves with the upper eschelons of Small Fleet warfare, we will of course leave that for others to confirm or deny when they meet us on the battlefield.
Firstly a thanks to our employers, KOS. Its so easy in this game to think that this alliance is this, and that Alliance is that, but the reality is, and KIA know this better than most, every Alliance is full of really stand up guys, fighting for their bit.
KOS are no different, great guys, eager and enthusiastic, we VERY much enjoyed our time with you, and wish you all the luck in the future. If pure grit and determination is enough to succeed in this game, then you guys should fear nothing. Your pilots are quality, and you have some great leadership, the future for you guys is rosey indeed.
To Rise.
You guys bring it, again and again. Gratz and props on never shirking. Ok ok we dont like your cloak battleships gangs, its all a bit pansy for us ;) but we admire your absolute commitment to your fellow Alliance mates. The fights we have had with you have all been smack free and honourable, in a time full of others idiotic behaviour, and childish reaction, you cannot ask for anymore in this game. Our hats are tipped to you sirs.
In summary, this contract has been one of growth for KIA, we have been open and honest about our shotcomings against our previous Mark "Outbreak", with regular gang size exceeding 30 and peaking at over 50, and the realisation of what fully Tech 2 high end SP players can do even when they are pitched against an opponent with far more on tap resources and numbers 2-3-4x what they can bring, we have sorted that minor blip, and are back on the road to where we want to be again.

another 430 Kills on top of that, and of course a Carrier that got caught out by a beauitful Vaga bump :)
Losses
6.8 Billion
31 BS
Another 110 losses on top of that.
KIA are now on a break for 3 weeks, contract offers or requests can be sent to KIAEddZ in game.

Sounds like a good time. RISE always bring out a fleet.
Its always painful when you tyry new tactics out, we had a disasterous attempt to try out he new stealth bomber bomb launchers last night (lag and latency and bombs do not mix) but if you never try anything new you never know what you might be missing.

Personally I met few nice ppl in KOS and tbh few on the target side.
Lentaqi Ap'raduz definitely earned title of excellent sportsman - cheers mate
also KUDOS to all KIA alliance members - we achieved a lot during this contract 
carebear times are ahaed but TBH I can't wait for new contract!

These kind of battle reports from KIA are refreshing, unlike the exaggerations and self-padding other outfits have a tendency to do.
As for RISE, if you ignore the few BOB smack alts in their alliance, they are a wicked opponents we enjoy fighting.
A lot of Goons consider them to be the only one of all our enemies in the south to be worthy of keeping their space in Feythabolis.

Total props to KIA, a group of guys who can fight the odds and bring it to any fight.
We had a totally tubular time fighting you guys and we could always count on you for one helluva fight without the smack talk. (cloak battleships gang? I don't remember that one.....) Remote Reps gangs of yours.......dreaded fighting those.
Remember Eve world, KIA can bring it to a fight, a real bunch of smack free guys who know what they are doing.

In all seriousness. Thanks for one heck of a time. Was always nice to fight KIA and not worry about having to deal with smack afterwards. KIA is quite the group. It was always a funny sight to see Mr. Mirage enter a system and second later see 10-15 mining barges exiting warp to dock at the station.

You can get indivudual stats by going to the KIA killboard and look up the contract.
All in all, nice stats, KIA, as always. It's good to see that you can fight even without me.

My corp actually set your pilots to a different color, so when we entered a system, we'd know right off the bat if we'd get a fight or not.
If it was Orange, it was KIA.. WOOT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT..
Some of the other hostiles just don't fight. Even if they have numerical superiority.

RISE would like to extend our thanks to the pilots of KIA for keeping us on our toes these last few weeks. I believe we both learned alot during this contract.
I'm sure KIA can confirm the seperate stats but for RISE v KIA I see the following:
RISE Kills: 4.6 billion (Including 32 BS)
RISE Losses: 7.9 billion (55 BS)
...truely the some of the best fighting anyone has brought to Feythabolis.
I'd love to hear about this 'cloaked BS fleet' - it my be so cloaked I've never seen it.

500 kills in 4 weeks by 150 pilots? I don't think you guys are serious about this whole PVP thing. I've had months where I personally get 500+ kills. And you barely managed to get a 3:1 kill to death ratio I'm about ready to jump on a plane and hobble someone if our kill to death ration drops below 50:1

Kia used too just be a very small around 40 man corp. it is allot easier to control player movements and make sure losses are too a minimum the smaller the corp is.
if burn eden had the amount of players kia alliance have i'd like to see you keep the same stats you have just now. it just wouldnt be possible.

LOl, good to see the BE boys in here, as always my answer is simple, we are very public about the area we are operating in, you think you got it, come bring it, and we will see whos metal is really shiney.
The difference imo between Burn Eden and KIA is simply we only shoot our Marks in the area of conflict, not set up gate camps and shoot everyhting that comes through, this is a difference that is obvious to anyone.
Setting up camps in a busy area and killing everything that comes through the gate, lets not pretend thats comparable to a contractual obligation to kil a certain mark xx You are good at what you do, we are good at what we do.
On another note.
Rise ONLY (ISS not included, they lost 2.2 Billion) losses for the contract were 12.2 not 7.9 Billion I guess depends on your values in the KB, but either way it was a 66% effieciency, or KIA killed twice what they lost). This can be verified on the KIA Killboard.

#1 Its always a treat to fight someone that makes you re-evaluate your established procedures from bottom to top. In this regard, groups like KIA certainly separate themselves from most others flying around 0.0.
Its fighting ppl like you that makes this game fun. Not just random pew-pew, but a daily challenge to make yourself fly better. When both groups walk away w/ a bloody nose and a damn good learning experience, it reminds you what eve pvp is supposed to be!
I didn't get to fly against you as much as I would have liked (damned RL!) and to that end, I think I speak for several people when I say I hope we turn up as a contract for you again in the future

Craxx: the thing is mate, BURN EDEN with 1/7th the pilots kia annoyance has, managed to get the same amount of kills in 1 week vs morsus mihi that they managed against rise in one month.
Just to reiterate 1/7th the pilots, 4 times the kills.
Was our employer happy with the results?

Fictitious kill ratio? Show me one and I do mean one kill/loss mail on our boards that is anything of the sort, you are talking out of your a** and if you continue to do so your new home is going to become a place you and your alliance dont want to be anymore.

Why doesnt your corp war dec KIA and see how it goes?
Obviously though your so into EvE you'd probably fall ill if you did bad at it, but the dampeners protect you against losing anything right? If and when damps are nerfed, your corp will crumble.

UWAR killed 34 KOS including 1 carrier in a 2h battle and no KIA member was there to help. UWAR had 7 members there (4 bs's, 1 cruiser and 2 carriers). Sorry to say but 7 guys killed in 2 hours more than you killed in 4 weeks  . Thanks for that great fight KOS.

Good times guys... I only had the joy of leading a few fleet battles against you guys, 1 was solid win for us, another was for you. I wish I had more oppurtunities to lead facing you ... you guys seem to always leave when i logged in :( (after 6pm est)

Big props to KIA who learnt us new way to fight.
The remote rep thing is nasty.
And yes efficiency is over 65% for KIA, for damage done just depends of what you include or not (and if insurance taken into account).
Also respect for the KOS that came together with KIA, i hope without them you will still dare to come and visit us in Core ^^

Burn eden asks if KIA is proud of the stats, what a silly question, yes they are proud, they are going to screen shot the kill board and hang it in the living room and on the outside of their houses, so there family and friends will know.
But seriously, proud is a strong word when applying it to how well you did in an online game.
To Rise: I've seen some clowns in these forums disrespect ya, or make jokes at you. But I'm glad to see you get the credit you deserve. I remember in my brief times flying with some of you in the south, was always fun.

Well fought KIA ;). Fortunately for us your employers didn't do their homework to well and hired a mainly Euro time merc outfit hehe.
Unfortunately our main Fleet strengths were on at different times of the day but you guys were good training for our newer Euro time members and hell....we didn't even have to pay you to train them :D. I know Coolgamer and his boys had a lot of fun with you all.
In the future though, be wary of cruiser squadrons that sit in system playing tag with you for an hour . Wish I could have seen more of you guys and also would like to reciprocate the thanks to you from RISE for the clean fights and smack free locals.

Wasn't Kos main goal in hiring KIA to protect KW and their other systems in the region from takeover?
Is KW more or less secure than it was 3 weeks ago?
Are relative Battleship or even ISK losses an accurate measure of success?

Why doesnt your corp war dec KIA and see how it goes?
Obviously though your so into EvE you'd probably fall ill if you did bad at it, but the dampeners protect you against losing anything right? If and when damps are nerfed, your corp will crumble.
 hank i guess your pretty new to eve because thats what they said before..JUST WAIT UNTIL THEY NERF WCS....JUST WAIT UNTIL THEY NERF RAGE TORPS BLA BLA BLA.. every mod that made BE great has been nerfed but theyre still here..the truth is that what BE do they do very very well..love em or hate em i dont think they give a s**t..

To answer your question, as of End of Contract (being DT last Saturday) RISE were not present in KW- in any real numbers for the duration of the contract with 2 exceptions (both when BoB/DR were assiting) RISE carriers remained within the POS shields, and local presence was limited to occassional fly bys at the station. Also during the contract, we assisted in the destruction of the Large ISS POS in C3- which hindered ISS's attempts to attack KOS from within their own system.
These are all elements of what we deem to be a successful contract, the answers I give here are my own take on the situation that unfolded, and am fully willing to edit it upon discussion.
I will hopefully have the full writeup ready in a day or so, but tbh, I am run off my feet trying to carebear....but I can't find my veld crystals :(
Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.

Mostly a perception issue caused by different prime time zones Mistae. By their lights KIA had a successful contract, keeping the naughty Riselings out of the chicken coup while they were in the yard and hence fulfilling their contract. By your's and the majority of Rise's lights they were a non-issue since you simply never saw them online when we WERE hitting the henhouse ;).
So, couple of different view points is all with neither of them being wrong necessarily.
