[ 2007.07.14 12:26:33 ] (info) Dear players, due to issues with service mappings to the server nodes after downtime today, the servers will be closing in 5 minutes for a short unscheduled reboot at GMT 12:31. Please make sure your characters are out of harms way before the servers close.

-The EVE Online Team See you again in 20 minutes

You had 15mins to change skill >.>
Also - it's only down for 20mins - AND if they didn't shut down to fix it you could have terrible problems/lag/losing ships etc if they left it till next DT - so I don't think it's too much of a hardship...also - surely anything you are training has longer than 35 mins to go? ;)
"only down for 20 minutes"....when this becomes anything more than an empty promis, do let me know =)
as its starting up now, I think thats your cue - and you owe someone an appology
you do realize that "starting up" means nothing right? a month or so ago we had this very same discussion. "5 minutes til startup" turned into "not currently accpeting connections.
WTS: A clue
you may wanna hop on that sell order there

This is just the standard Saturday crash after the downtime. This happens EVERY Saturday without fail. (At least CCP is consistent on something) The only question is ...How long will the server be down?

This thread is flamebait. The op is a troll.
Your time would be better spent getting a life instead of using eve to simulate a sucky life.

The server is starting up now with all nodes running and properly mapped services. The issue was that due to node deaths at and after startup, systems and other services were remapped. The remapping left some high load systems on nodes that were running whole constellations of low load systems, market regions and corporation, alliance and warfare services.
Not only that, but the process that relaunches dead nodes did not relaunch the 24 dead nodes.
Since its Saturday night, I decided to reboot to make tonights experience oh so much better ------ Valar Database admin - Server operations team CCP Games |

I can't believe you are getting bent out of shape over a few minutes of not playing Eve. Computers, as I'm sure you've noticed, can be a royal pain in the arse. Something as complex as the Eve cluster is bound to have hiccups from time to time. Just roll with it.
Edit: There, the nice gold bar man has sorted it for you.

/me wonders how CCP could let the servers come up after DT if they KNOW nodes are still dead/dying.

To bad that this was a failure... since Saila, Aramamachi, Motsu, Isenarios and all the surounding systems were completly lag free for the first time since 2 years !!! Originally by: CCP Wrangler Am I reading this correctly? You claim you have a bug that undresses female avatars
