Hey, i have a problem, i want to record the sound for a bit of footage, but i dont have speakers plugged in at the moment im using a headset and i cant seem to get fraps to record the sound, is there a way to tell fraps to record the sound my pc is making? or does it have to record it through a microphone?

Hmmm, setting Fraps to record what u hear should work. Is it an USB headset? Then make sure you make the headset primary sound device in the windows control center

Yea I am using a USB headset, it is set to the primary device, how do i change the option in Fraps to record 'What you hear'?

You might have to record it separately, through Teamspeak.
IIRC FRAPS doesn't record the sound your computer makes, it records the sound the program its filming makes.

i have sound activated in game, i hear the music playing in game etc, but when i come to watch the video back i dont hear sound.
within fraps the sound options are
Sound Device : Sennheiser USB Headset
Sound Input: Default
i cant seem to change these

I've been able to get fraps to record both eve and ts a while back (dont record sound anymore), so unless my fraps was bugged, it should just record straight from the pc.

I would love to have a script or something to bind my "record fraps" key also as "record teamspeak"

when i record with fraps it captures the headset mic as well, so i cant hear the game sounds but i can hear myself typing lol, any ideas?

ok i have tried every combination, i changed the sound to my sound card and i dont get any sound recorded at all, in fraps under the sound settings it showed my sound card and said "what you hear" yet it still didnt record the sound, i guess ill have to wait till i plug my speakers back in and record it through the mic.
