Hari Markkus	Posted - 2007.07.14 21:34:00 - [1] I'm not even gonna call Rev II an expansion, cause that would imply extra content. It wouldn't be so bad but you broke so much stuff. The desyncs are the worst. You screwed up some missions making them even more of a chorefest. Exploration, which I used to really enjoy, is now another chore. And what did I get in return? The LP store. Bombs and the POS stuff don't do their intended job. I am sure your alliance alts like the sov stuff, but hardly new content. Any chance of a roll-back. Just before RMR would be cool.

Infact, I'll even give you adivce. Next, you should talk about my mother, my "lack of a life", insult my sexuality, act like I just came from WoW, and question my age. The Devs always lost at games when they were younger, so they thought that it would be a great idea to create a game where they could puporsefully break it, while simultaneously buffing their characters, so they could win EVE.

I think you'll find the ratio to be close to 99%. There are specific issues that stand out, but I'm sure they're actually being worked on. I reported it back in December when CCP first broke it.. Guess they still haven't received enough detailed information to identify or duplicate the problem yet.

I have no doubt there being worked on, and I hope they do get fixed, I like this game and will carry on paying to play until the end. However I do understand both sides of the fight here... We have been given a massive sand box to almost do as we please in and thats an outstanding feat of programing//database//server managment (hats off to the CCP guys) but lets take a look at the bigger picture here, Were almost pushed into 0.0 for alliance warfair that the server just can't deal with, with the latest de-sync even small fights are effected, mission runners are also effected. Bugs that have such high forum and ingame visibilty that just never get fixed, constant "issues" with the sandbox we all love begin to break on us, there not a sledge hammer to the face, more a constant reminder that things need to be fixed that never appear to be. I picked drones as according to CCP's own patch notes they have been fixed 3 times now.. Sometimes i defend CCP sometimes i take the side of the "FIX ZE DAMN GAME" posters (and posted such things myself sometimes) depending on what mood i'm in. With a software system this massive and with this many complexities it's not feasable to fix every bug especially quickly - should the camera-reset bug be fixed before the client desync bug? When it comes down to it, if you have no faith in the developers to make this game enjoyable for you, then you don't have to stick around. Find another MMO you like and go there. Or you could come to the forums and cry about it, where devs will be much less inclined to listen to your arguments, however legitimate, due to your hostile attitude.

Just a small, basic HTML form, with a few lines of PHP to check to make sure the IP hadn't been used before, this was like 10 lines of code, nothing big, and very straightfoward. But it took a day to get it to work properly, infact, one fix worked once and then wouldn't work again. We tried a few other fixes that worked with tests, but didn't actually work when loaded. So basically, the point of this is just to say that even the simplest of fixes, might not really be so simple. And the first attempts might not work outside of a clean room. Agreed, I used to program in C++ and that was a right pig with some programs, debugging sometimes had me up 24 hours ripping hair out screaming at my monitor thinking it was the coffee machine, something as big as eve is going to have bugs, and is going to always be bugged. If they did, I wouldn't be to point them to your signature though. Once, I submitted a bug report about a typo. Told them the item, the mistyped word, and what it said. My stress levels are high enough already, I'd love to have Ninja carm-ness still it's annoying as you say, but tbh I think it's needed sometimes, even the most rantastic post draws a lot of players to the games defense, even if the devs read but don't reply.. everyday there work is defended by there customer base... and that mate, must make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
