Hmm, he just appeared and you sat at the gate?
Well derelicts are derelicts just because CCP's database can be a bit slow, hence the information isen't loaded into the avatar object.
However, after awhile when it is fully loaded, the ship will appear as a derelict (with full info fully loaded), the only way to 'refresh' the 'false' derelict appearance is to warp out and warp back for force a refreshment of the ship's owners discription. (Refering to the ships derelict tag but not the rest of the information that has become available)
We have warpjammed and webified derelicts and been waiting to see if it's friendly or not. Can take time...
And Falnopnihr, it's not nice to call people trolls but since it comes from a corporation that openly admits that it does not stand by it's word, I'll just ignore it.
Keep on flaming, lamers.

I've also suggested that the best way of avoiding all these issues is to add a 24 hour delay on all corporation transfers, Kicking/Quitting
Keep on flaming, lamers.

Even 1hour might be enough to stop that insta switch tactic at least.

IIRC Concord classify warp jamming as an aggressive act - so this would not have been very useful in Hardin's case. What if the derelict had been an innocent bystander instead of the pirate?

at least 2, but since the third post includes 'also', i'm tempted to say 3.
btw, i agree with you, that timer on corp quitting/kicking is needed. glad to see you actually took the time to type some constructive thoughts.

The fact that this Biomass character tried to warp scramble the person he believed to be the offender, proves that he was exploiting the game mechanics imho.
Very poor, very low.
His justification that 'I just want to do agent missions in peace' don't exactly make it much better either ;)
