Implant Insurance
Hello Capsuleers! Have you ever been podded and was left short a few hunded million because of the implants you had? Great news! Starting today we will be providing implant insurance for low risk pilots. Based off your Battleclinic and limited API record we will be able to give you a quote on how much isk your implants are worth and then base them on the fair market value of Jita. You will have to make a deposit on the cost of the implants and have a deductible of 10%. Essentially we will be paying out the cost of the implants. Pilots must have a rather clean Battleclinic record free of recent pod kills. At first we will be branching out to low risk pilots and then expanding our horizons to all pilots. There are multiple levels of insurance we offer:
Platinum 25m/month
20% Down
20% Deductible
80% Payout
Gold 22m/month
15% Down
40% Deductible
60% Payout
Silver 20m/month
10% Down
60% Deductible
40% Payout
Bronze 15m/month
10% Down
80% Deductible
20% Payout
Insurance plan is void if killed by Corp members or self destructed. API will be required for payouts to view the unaltered kill mail.
All plans cost per month or till insurance contract has be completed. If podded within the month of the insurance plan the pilot will then have to purchase a new plan. Plan voids 30 days from purchase date at the following downtime.Extending the plan does not require another down payment. Only after a pod kill does one have to resend the down payment.

Could work if EVE had more complete contract/treaty system.
As it stands, I have to say "probable scam". This can't work because it is very very easy to manufacture "accidents". |

Someone else will pay you ISK to prove your "worthyness"? Please tell me more.
Or do you mean that an unknown throw-away alt will "buy" a "contract" soon and then vociferously proclaim your "worthyness"? Perhaps Olivia Apex's onto something. Well, presumably there would be a months-long lull in this thread to allow for an eventual claim to be honoured.
More seriously, what have you done in New Eden that might give people reason to trust you with their ISK? |

Implant insurance may work, but I'm skeptical. It has no chance of working in a manual process like the one you describe, you'll want to develop a website where people can track policies, implants covered, process payments, etc.
Ship insurance won't work, at least not now. It has been tried and even with automation the adoption was anemic.
