Trying to get hold of a forum for my corporation, and currently i really don't want to make a bad decision etc, so i thought it would be best to ask here for any suggestions as to forums types and hosting. I've been looking around, but personally i'd prefer some good advice before i decide. I appreciate any help and replies :P

I used Freeforums at one time, no adds and good features, it could at times be a bit slow, but they supposed to have fixed this.
Have a look there and see if it suites you.

Do you have money (or can get a whip round from the corp) and some technical know how?
If you tick those boxes, get a host that supports MySql and PHP and get http://www.phpbb.com/
You can't beat rolling your own IMO, and having full control over everything.

If you take Fink's advice, i can recommend:

Bloody good hosts - packages come with TS, serverside control panel access - includes installation s of forum softwares, galleries and the like.
I used to have the "uber" package - dont have time to run & admin a site that was dying anyways now, but while I was with them they rocked :)

I use Dathorn for all my webhosting needs. It's a reseller account, so you do need to know what you doing, but you get complete control and lots of bandwidth/space.

Invision Board IMO.
It costs though, but well worth the money, it's secure and has great customer support.
They have Invision Free but it's rubbish.
