I'm one of those pilots who only flies amarr and I refused to train anything else extensively... Slowly I've also come to the realization how weak amarr is, but compensating for it isn't that hard in some areas...
Here is my dilemma...
I'd like to start ratting in angel 0.0 space, but I'm not sure which amarr ship will do the job best...
My usual trusty ship for years is the geddon with megapulse II... It puts out so much damage and is so cheap, but I guess megapulse vs angels won't cut it?
I do have projectiles trained to 4 across the board for pvp but havent used them ever for ratting...
Here are some ideas I have:
1) Curse with heavy missile launchers and explosive drones? 2) Arbitrator with 800mm tungsten plate, explosive drones... 3) Apoc with artillery? 4) MWD autocannon geddon? Would that even work? 5) Abaddon with lasers--just scoop the cap boosters from wrecks and fuel injectors with them? 6) Abaddon with artillery? 7) Abaddon with MWD and autocannons? 8) Phantasm with heavy explosive missiles? 9) Sniper zealot with heavy beams?
Anyway--I need some advice !

Amarr is great! and I genuinely believe that.
All the options you listen beloware quite viable, whatever one you use comes down to your own preference providing your maximising your explosive damage.
I think \I used what was closest at hand when I was in your situation, geddon with mega pulses and 5 bezerkers scooping cap boosters as I went along.
thats right I need a new sig |

I ratted Angles in an Apoc with 1200 artilleries. Worked well for me.
But you pretty much need some tracking comp and gyrostabs. Plus side you don't need that many cap mods

I don't do 0.0 ratting, but I run missions with amarr battleships using mega pulse. Angels take longer, but with good skills, which it sounds like you have, it should be ok I think, unless those angels are considerably harder than what I face in missions. Think best thing you can do is just try it out, if you find it takes too long start considering different options. If your drone skills are good, you could also just consider training up for a Domi.

Use zealot and train for Absolution. 3 heatsink and 2 hardeners on zealot is enough to tank any angel spawn and kill them pretty quickly. I used to use zealot for lvl 4 AE missions. It can do the mission within 50 minutes easily. I generaly dislike battleships for angel due to their resistance. Apoc with arti works OK but it is just painfully slow compare to zealot.
My zealot use 4 t2 heavy beams. Never liked pulse for pve. Not to focus on snipping, it can handle anything angel ships could deal. Go in close with multi freq. crystal on bs spawn, it will melt them very quickly.
