I finished the missions the Imperial Academy agent gave me for the tutorial. She said she was going to introduce me to a new agent when I was finished, but I don't see where to find him. When I click on her she has no more missions for me. She just says that she will introduce me to other agents when I'm done -- which I thought I was. I'm confused
Any help is much appreciated!

Have you checked People&Places and the Agents tab? He/she should appear there.

Yes, the only agent listed there is the original mission giver, and she has no more missions for me. I have no current missions open either.

Try looking at the map. Select "Display Settings" then "Stars" then "My agents". See how you go, thats how I find my missing one.

I had to move my agents from People&Places ,the corp members tab to the agents tab, just drag them over, as they did not appear under the agents tab from start.

New agents are no longer directly referred by your old agent. Working with an agent is now depending on your standing towards his "faction" (=race), "corporation" and the "personal standing" to her/him.
Basically after sucessfully finishing your tutorial agents missions from Imperial Academy you should have received an initial bonus of +2.0 to you Amarr faction standing (open charactersheet / standings / liked by, to check)
This allows you to work for a lot of Amarr corporations agents (Level 1 agents and even some Level 2 agents).
How do you find them?
Check for Amarr corporations first:
Corporations - Amarr Empire
Then search for a corp you want to work in your People & Places menu (search "corporation" , type name) and open the corporation info. There is a tab that is related to agents. If you select it a list with agent divisions opens up. Expand and you get an overview of "agents available to you" and "agents not available to you". Pick an available one from a location nearby and there ya go with your new agent.
