Dark Kavar Caldari Aionios Diadochi Dark Matter Coalition	Posted - 2007.07.18 04:49:00 - [1] Anyone familiar with it? It's blocking a program from connecting to the internet that I don't want it to. Any idea on how to enable connection? Kind of like the Triforce in Zelda, only not quite as potent.

Free Anti-virus software is cheaper (duh) and, in some cases, better than Norton. Beat up the owner to within an inch of his life and then tell him that whom the gods would destroy they first make mad; then explain that Norton is the tool of the gods for this purpose. You would be doing a great disservice to your friend/colleague if you didn't tell them that Norton was not designed to help them but to drive them to insanity. Failing that explain to your friend that if they have to use Norton then they are too stupid to legally own a computer.

They had Norton as part of their "Security-Package". You know when you are in hell when: A. You are forced to sell these Rubbish B. Forced to solve various problems involved with Norton, which your colleague sold to the poor Bastard earlier. C. Are under no circumstances allowed to recommend to uninstall Norton and go for a different Anti-Virus or Firewall-SW.

Right click, go to shutdown, left click. Download or run item. Double click the icon and restart nortons once your done. Normally though a little box should appear in your lower right corner telling you that such n such is trying to access the internet and will give you the option of allowing or denying.

I can't understand how you deduced my intellectual capacity just from my internet surfing habits. Next you'll say I'm an idiot because I actually prefer to pay for software/music/movies right? I mean, people go to all that trouble to make software/music/movies but as it costs so much I'd be just so fecking dumb for not wanting to live an honest, quiet life and actually bloody fund the efforts of hard working people! Right? It's people like me, the type who pays for stuff that actually keeps the entertainment and software industry afloat. And it's leeches like you who will probably one day bring it down.

I used to have it back when I signed with my ISP (part of the deal was a free NAV and Firewall) and it comes with this neat application called ccproxy.exe, which, most likely due to some memory leak they don't bother fixing, would wind up taking about 99 % of my CPU resources for no good reason at all. Uninstalled it rather quickly, installed AVG Free version and all has been fine ever since.
