A movie which I had just finished. Best listened with some headphones or surround sound.
Been away for awhile and I needed to refresh myself on how premiere and Fraps worked so I just put this together.
I did this movie alone and with some uncooporative NPC rats...
If anyone is interested in making movies with me post here and I'll contact you in-game.
(Oh yeah, please suspend your belief about watching this film. We know in REAL Eve-life you wouldn't be doing this sorta thing but.....its a movie! So Enjoy!)

Wow, I didn't expect such an immediate response.
Remember, since this is a movie...things must be exaggerated, stretched, made pretty and so forth. Yes, I used lasers because they were flashy.
I want the flashiest weapons possible in the movies and so far I'm using Beam and Pulse lasers.
I've got this great idea for another movie but I need like 4 other people. If you'd like to make a movie with me - since you've gotten a sense of my style of movie making, theatrical, epic and such - Mail me in Tranquility.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I shot the whole movie (and every other movie I am planning to do) in Multiplicity the test server.
Its great, I have 10 Hyperions....only for 1,000 iskes! My insurance scams finally work! 100isk for 72 million isk insurance payout.

Keep on making them!
Crits: Try to make it a smoother transition between the black screen with text and the video, and the music too.
But VERY nice, liked that a lot. Next step is getting a few more people together instead of belt rats and choreographing a real fight :D

Very nice camera work! *insert cry about lasers on a hyperion here* Ion IIs look pretty cool when firing, especially if you stagger all 8. :)

For my next "group" movie....
I need 6 people who can fly all the Tech 1 Minmatar and Amarr Frigates. And I need 2 people who can fly all the Amarr Tech 1 Battleships
Don't worry because I'm shooting this all on the Multiplicity test server you can just train your character to fly all the ships real quick with +4 implants. Again everything in the test server is 100isk.
Tall order, I promise though, everyone who participates will be very, very - happy at the results
Get on my mailing list in Tranquility called "Kwanyujibby" with the title of "Movie making" and the message of "Hey I'd like to help make the movie".

I'm gonna be the first to say this, but I wasn't too keen on it.
Firstly like someone mentioned the black screen, switching back to the action was rather... also the music I find having music going all the way through rather than here, there and everywhere would of been better.
I really like the end with the Manti though, best part of the film.
4/10

not bad, though I think ion blasters would've looked better, they have these "charging up" animations when they fire, which looks pretty cool, and the weapons fire effect is larger than lasers. tbh the lasers on the Hyp looked more like mining lasers than anything else :p
nice job overall though

Would you guys believe it?
I got a Youtube honor for the first time.... "95th most watched video in the games category on July 18 2007". Close to 700 views in 24 hours.
Granted, its nothing to go wild about but its nothing to sneeze at either, especially because my first eve short took months before hitting 700.
Anyway back to the video
I am aware of the bad fade in's - I was fiddling with the editing, rendered and exported and THEN I realized I forgot that part.

And you can't exactly choreograph lazy belt rats, all you'd get is different angles which...was most of this film. Well maybe you could get choreography with belt rats but you'd have to shoot a lot of film and spend hours and hours trying to film it just right. Didn't have the patience to do that with belt rats- so much easier with live human pilots.
Of course, with actual pilots then....it gets ten times better because the short film would be in tune, synchronized and such.
But thanks for you honesty anyway
As for my next film for those of you interested I will say again- mail me in Tranquility and I'll add you to my list of "actors" (which at this moment total 3 people, me myself and I).
Alright my next film
(If you're not interested in making the next film, stop reading here)
The best way I can describe the next movie is.... an action packed "space Opera" (yes yes weird way of saying it but just go along)
What I am in need of is...
6 people (total) to be able to fly all tech 1 Minmatar,Amarr and Gallente frigates. Of the 6 I need 2 people to fly all Amarr Battleships. 1 person to fly a Hyperion. You must all be able to use "small sized" Blasters, lasers and artillary weapons (like lvl 1 barely qualify to use them is all). For the battleships however you need to be able to use the large
guns.
Might sound like a lot but just go get on Multiplicity (you must get on that test server), get some +4 implants and in about a week you'll be able to fly every tech 1 ship in a race (Assuming you're at completely 0 with a race's ship skills- which I don't think you will be)
I am 60% sure I can get a teamspeak server for this filming.
All 7 of us (myself being number 7) will need to be on at the same time so we can shoot the movie for a total of....8 hours spread out over a period of 2 weeks or something so this doesn't cut into your real eve life (unless you're all really wanting this to happen fast).
I've storyboarded most of the shots so when we all get in we'll be filming right away and not making this stuff up as we go (in most cases...gota leave room for some creative spontaneity)
Tall order, pulling 6 other people for almost a day's time playing Eve but....well you won't be dissappointed. Unlike the Manticore movie you just saw, this will be choreographed and not shot like a drunk Eve Pilot =)
