wow why dont we fix all these server issues before expanding on the game. i think u will lose alot of paying customers than new ones if u dont start fixing these issues. making the game stable would help spread the word about how relaible the games is then the new fetures would help keep new and old players interested. i find that many new players quit because the game is always crashing and they lose all interest before they can discover how great eve is. just a thought

yes but on the flip side you have all the players who have been here for 3 years who have been there done that and got the T-Shirt so CCP need to do something to keep those guys happy or they may leave...
it's a catch 22 situation, leave it alone and older guys leave, add new content newer guys may leave.
also I think you'll find they have teams of ppl e.g 1 group working on fixing, 1 working on new data etc... |

What you do not realise is that mmo servers are NEVER stable, they NEVER get 'all their problems fixed',it's just not worth the effort. The minute amount of people that will stop playing the game because of server instabilities, is worth less to them than the cost of improving server quality of service. CCP is a business, after all...

All this stuff with adding more and more downtime is rather annoying... It wasn't written anywhere that they're planning to have an unplanned extended downtime, so blast it, I'm losing 1 hr 45 mins training time on one of my alts, and lucky me for not starting any 'short' skills last night, else I would have had the problem on more then just one account =.=
Hope they actually start the servers at 0730, and skip the daily downtime...
But as long as they fix some of the stability problems, I am ok even with such an inconvenience... ^__^ |
