0.0 is fine, except for needing 10x the current amount of entry points.

no freaking security sec, or very low for 0.0 as good as 0 isk bounty for rats, since 0.0 is no concord orientated.
no freaking missions at all (wth should they have missions in 0.0 space others then pirates, which would rather be killing of other pirates for low isk gain )

Yeah its easy money but not nearly as much as i can do in my pimped cnr in a nice 0.5 system witha q 18 agent without any risk.
you clearly have no idea about what your saying... you can't make anywhere near 30mill which is "bad" for a 0.0 ratter, while the 70 mill per hour is yer, way too much.

I think the main point here isn't necessarily that ratting in 0.0 sucks compared to empire..
Its that ratting in Geminate sucks compared to everywhere else (except perhaps the drone regions) ------------ This is not War... This is pest control - Dalek Sek

yeah - the 70mil is best case which, basically, can only be done by chaining/farming/whatever 2 or 3 triple 1.5+ mil spawns with salvaging and lots of giant secure cans to store even the crap loot for reprocessing. takes a couple of hours to bash the low stuff before you can enjoy such a streak though.
non-stop arkonor mining (yeah.. right) would yield <55mil/h in a 1700-hulk and 0% ref.waste. no hauling, compression or fees included -

If you manage to set up good chains over a couple of hours, then the best money is simply by ratting, not salvaging or looting. And you can't rat, salvage and loot on a single account without cutting into pure ratting time.
Once you start introducing multiple accounts, then the variables increase greatly and potential for money goes up. But on a single account, I'd say 70 mil/hour isn't possible and 46mil/hour is unlikely and/or rare. -- 99% of Eve-o posters should stop posting. 1 hour of ratting, in a decent region gives you AT LEAST 30m, and probably closer to 70m, isk an hour. if you lose ships/isk at a higher rate, i advice you to stop pvping.
now on the other hand, try ratting in lowsec, that makes you what? 2m isk an hour? and the risk there is way higher.
this thread fails to deliver.
Are you living in the same Venal as I am? In my experience ratting up here makes around 30mil isk an hour tops in bounties, with the usual rate of intake is a fair chunk lower than that lofty height. This is partly because high quality spawns seems to be sharply decreased in frequency since Rev2. I don't know if they tinkered to the faction NPC space bonus to ratting or what, but what used to be majestic chains of 1.4 - 1.85mil BSes are now ugly swarms of 500 and 650k spawns that need to be cleared out in vain attempts to get something worthwhile. Maybe it's just perpetual bad luck; who knows.
Anyways, all that aside, getting up that ideal 30mil/hour rate requires hours upon hours of careful prepatory tending to ensure that you have a series of quality chains cultivated. Basically, the longer you rat in a system, the more isk per hour you can make out of it as you cull the poor spawns and chain the good ones. When first entering a system and/or without practicing proper ratting techniques, you may be lucky to be scraping in 10 - 15mil an hour. And God forbid you get everything set up then some jackass hops in the system and starts breaking all your chains as part of some futile isk-wasting attempt to force a faction spawn...right back to square one, in that case. ------ Director, No Quarter "There is no problem that cannot be solved by the judicious application of violence." |

Being able to hire agents to live in your outpost would be great, at least for thos that live in the drone regions.

Giving the inhabitants of the drone regions a recourse to instant isk beyond insurance fraud would probably be a nice gesture. Poor bastards out there... ------ Director, No Quarter "There is no problem that cannot be solved by the judicious application of violence." |

true, no doubt. but i'm ratting with a (very) short range design anyway; hurricane, AC's w/ Hail M etc.
sure, i could grab 10-20% more bounty if there'd be more than 3 piles of triple-1.55mil (angel throne) - but then it'd be christmas in our area.
(crap) loot is worth a lot more than that - i'm hugging the rats anyway and i can grab the wreck and start those 2 salvagers immediately. no need to still be in range when the salvagers finish (kind of a gamble though)^^
anyway - 20mil/h already takes a wee-bit of dedication, 30mil/h is "doable", 40mil/h if you take over a good and fully prepared system from a friend. but 70mil...?
and then lvl4's how long does it take to complete a 10k lollypoint mission in a reaaally-pumped-up machine? 1.5h? that's... 20mil bounties? and another 10-30mil for half an hour of looting&salvaging? - not sure there... enlighten me ^^ -
