My question -
What, if anything, is CCP proposing to do to allow large fleet engagements (100 ships or more) to take place in a sensible, lag-free, fashion ? Further, if CCP could outline the way the server is constructed, and the ways in which upgrades to performance could be achieved.

I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

Fleet battle lag - Would it be so difficult to assign extra horsepower to fountain station systems and regular gate camp systems? Check map for highest ship destruction systems and allocate extra nodes. It'll be a temporary improvement at least.
Tech 2 bp's - Handouts have been slow. For the big tech 2 release advertised in december we still see hardly anything about.
Escrow - Getting too large now, everyone is selling on it - even things like common basic loot. Needs a search function & better filters.
Blueprint copies - Should get trashed once zero production runs remain. 
Grid / hidden roid belts without npc's - Are they here to stay?
A wider selection of large hybrid weapons would be good. Compared to other weapon types they are lacking. Also beef up the their sfx. The 250 rail sounds better than the 425 
Story/Content - Needs improving. E.g What happened to that protein delicacy scandal? It fizzled away. Many people get interested, that these stories will go somewhere and have some real effect on them or their environment. All to often they anti-climax and fade away.....
New suggestion - How about a battle mode to the game. When engaged in player combat the music steps up a beat and a set of user-configurable graphic options activate to reduce client processing - may help in fleet battles. E.g UI disappears (this badly needs optimising), ships are not rendered / dynamic lit, drones / missles are icons only etc.
That'll do for now, thanks. BTW, its a still a great game.

will tech II remain in a slow steady trickle straight through to tech III? I don't think anyone really wants the research agents and bajillions of accumulated points to suddenly become worthless and abandoned.
Also, now that the Tech release system is in place, will current fields of study (i.e. research skills) still be useful for it? Or will we be doing the "mad scramble from scratch" again?
(the point of the above is, the difference between keeping up relations with current agents and factions, or dropping them once all the good stuff is handed out). --- Now that we've seen a wonderful upsurge in Minmatar freedom fighting groups, with varied philosophies and styles, can we PLEASE have a nod towards all their hard work and throw 'em a bone of "release slave" as a rightclick option - preferably with some tangible impact on one's standings?
On that note, will trading in certain commodoties have an effect on one's standings? It doesn't seem that being a drug dealer (dealing in illegal Booster commodity) does anything, ferinstance. Will slave traders start taking Minmatar Republic hits, etc.?
Failing all the above which i know is a kludge, how about a station facility or facilities related to faction prejudices? Republic stations having Relocation Centers, frex, instead of the "rightclick from hangar." After all it makes no sense to "free slaves" in the center of the Empire ,-). It would be nice if other Empires' stations could start to reflect their bias as well.... uh... i've no idea what to suggest for them however i'm sure the emerging Gallente / Caldari RPers can think of something. And deathwing will probably try to talk you into torture chambers for the Amarr ^^.

1. Will there be added more "life" in this galaxy? i have played Freelancer and im very impressed with the npc's acting almost as human players, i can feel that its "life" everywhere i go in Freelancher!!
2. Will the corp logo colors be fixed? now when u pick Brown u get White etc...
3. Will there ever be lvl3 Battleships? if so, eta please...
4. I have seen some small events going on like the Supply Runner event, will there be more events like this with more different missions? and we need more BIG events to bring us further down the storyline!!!!

eta on a fix for castor
fraction sec standings....decay only been 6 weeks npc tweaking ...missle spamm any one roid tweaking ....so fountain has ark 4 jumps from station and i found heb in a .2 system guarded by frigs in molden heath but pureblind 15 jumps from a station has 2 BS's guarding jasp
cloaking or jumping into a system at wrong spot unclocked can we get a fix
id like to use folders for bookmarks can i get a add folder option that works

1. Would a .pdf-document or similar be released with some kind of rules and guides? As someone pointed out: "It's hard to RTFM, when there is no FM!". The faq-part of the support page is not sufficient in any way. As fast as an online manual is created, keeping it updated to every patch, should not cost too much work either.
2. Will "warp to" and "dock" be included in assets?
3. Could we have a "last destroyed ship/podkill <time> ago" when displaying number of destroyed ships/podkills last 1/24h.

Now that the in-system warp speed can be tweaked, could it be upped some more? (Personally, I'm unwilling to participate in anything that requires an hour's worth of travel time ie. anything taking 20 jumps or more. Why would I leave Empire space to explore/mine/hunt pirates when it takes most of an evening to get there and most of another evening to get back?)
Are player-owned stations (when they eventually turn up) going to be placeable in non-0.0 space?

I'd like to ask about the noob experience:
This weekend, EVE broke a record for the most concurrent users. Many of these were new players, some from the trial promotion (good idea). Unfortunately, the newbie tutorial is STILL broken -- it just stops telling you what to do at one point. The whole experience as a newbie to this game is daunting and confusing. Most of the fuctions are not explained anywhere. The manual is not available at your site. In fact, nothing is available for a newbie except some threads on the boards here and there, most of which aren't stickied and are quickly buried.
I noticed a lot of changes for higher-level content -- alliances, wars, lots of focus on 0.0 space, all of which are important, but none of which address the new players you are trying so hard to recruit. When will the tutorial be revamped and fixed? And when will you explain some of the functions that are obscure to newbies (like the five line square near the Solarsystem name, that most of us can't live without, and it takes the average new player weeks to figure out?).

How will elite frigates differ from normal frigates? Will they be more dangerous than cruisers?
The "Destroyers" mentioned in previous chats, will they just be beefed up versions of the Maller or Punisher, or a whole different chassis of ships?
Why do we need carriers to use repair drones?
Are carriers a new chassis, or just a different color thorax?
IMPORTANT: Is their any chance we can see the old Belladrine battleship (Amarr Egg) back ingame at somepoint?
Is there the possibility of having drones that leech energy, dampen sensors, etc?
What's the eta on warp field disruptor objects? Will we get Webifier structures as well?
Any chance of frigates being able to target subsystems?

this is more of an idea than a que.
I find it laughable that missiles have a 'top speed' in space.
It's a rocket engine, generating thrust, with zero friction to deal with. It should have a constant acceleration.
Now, here's what I'm proposing. You fire off your missile, and it gains speed rapidly, maybe getting as fast as 10km/s on the approach to a long-range opponent, and then slows down again when it gets close to the opponent and resumes its normal 'maneuvering speed'.

2. Can you post a dev blog of the new upcoming ship classes & explain their function. (elite frigates, carriers, destroyers, interdictors) to name a few.

What are the possible implications of including a modifier to help frigates survive longer in pvp?
Many people have supported this additional modifier and believe this would enhance the gaming experiance of every player level class. Read the thread for constructive criticism "for" and "against".

I've got a few.
• When are ships going to accurately represent the race descriptions? E.g. Gallente being the EW experts, Caldari ships being light and nimble, etc?
• When are cruisers going to get two bonuses each, like every other ship class does?
• When is the 125mm variant raligun going to be introduced for cruisers and battleships? Not having these weapons in severely limits a players ship set-up options.

More life around the galaxy would be nice.
Patrols of ships that actually follow a route either around the system, or constelation.
The odd scirmish between factions that hate each other.
Pirate raids on npc convoys.
This sort of thing. I never really understood why CONCORD and faction police ships just sit there and ignore the pirates at the gates.
Obviously there needs to be some risk, but that's why the police ships should patrol, to leave "gaps". This wouldn't effect CONCORD response time to player actions.
I keep faith, it's only what I believe in that changes.

- EvE is a massive game with massive fights... and massive lag in those fights.
Many people are pretty sure by now that the problems with this kind of lag lie deeper than any hotfix could get rid of, so as a start I¦d like to hear some details about the problems that are currently affecting large scale fleet combat and operations. Can you give us some insight on how both the server-structure and the client are affecting lag in those battles and what will be done on your end to reduce it? Take your time for that please as it's a very important issue for almost every veteran player out there.
- Frigates make up more than 25% of the ships in EvE, but in fact, only a few of them are actually used in PvP. LOTS of ideas and opinions have been posted by the community to make the profession of a frigate pilot more viable and fun.
What exactly are your plans to give all those frigates a purpose in PvP combat? This problem partly apllies to cruisers aswell. While cruisers like the Blackbird or Thorax are more or less greatly accepted and useful in PvP, others are not as they simply cannot compete with battleships in any way. There are roles missing for them, which excludes them from PvP almost entirely. What are your plans on how to fix this? How are you planning to improve the balancing of shipclasses within the next month?
- One problem with frigates in PvP is the fact that they're practically owned by drones, especially heavy drones.
One idea was to improve the ECM-burst module in a way that it hinders or incapacitates drones within its radius for a short period of time so you can actually attack the drones in a frigate. What do you think about this idea and what are you plans to give frigs a chance against drones?
- After 7 months, quite a few players would like to be able to change their character pictures. Not talking about changing crucial details like jaws/eyes/hair here... but changing certain things like background, lighting, clothes, body/head positioning and mouth should be possible don't you think?
It would certainly add A LOT to the immersiveness of the game as players can express their emotional state through their character pictures. Of course there should be a 5 hours timelimit for this aswell. Is there a chance that something like this might be implemented in the near future?
- ETA of corptaxes? It's about time don¦t you think? At least simple things like taxing NPC-bounties should be possible by now...
- Scanning & Recon: What exactly are you planning to give us so that we can chase and hunt down other players more efficiently? Hundreds of bounty hunters are waiting for tools so that they can actually do their job.
- What are your plans for the escrow system? When will we get rid of having to exit the game to sell our stuff?
- Rockets are utterly useless. Your plans?
- Does TomB actually wear hats?

Who supervises the ESCROW? Is it the SCC?
Incorrectly stating the merchandise should then be an SCC matter, player being refunded for buying 0 run BPC and scammer getting ESCROW posting ban or similar.
Personally I have not had the misfortune but can plainly see how many items appear amibigious to new-ish players.
Laboratory operation skill (so you can YOURSELF research in more than one research slot) for example is advertised as allowing control of more than one R&D Agent.
Fiscal responsibility for corp thefts and scams should be looked at. Corp thiefs should get a -5 sec rating or something similar.
The guys that walked out of ENRON with billions of dollars now face prison. Why should such deceit go unpunished in EVE?
