Hello,
Was running incursions and people just cant figure out how to say ''My cap is full''. I know it's their fault, but here is something that could make logis lifes easier.
Note: This idea is ONLY for logis and no other ships.
As a logi, we have to know whats going on on the shield, armor and hull level. BUT also on the energy level. My idea is the following: We make FLEET members check a box wether they allow logis to monitor their capacitor level or not. This way it would prevent logis abusing the system and see the enemy's capacitor, and better monitor friendly capacitor. I don't think it would kill the game in any way, would just make it a little bit easier for us logi pilots and wouldnt harm anyone.
So:
1- Fleet members have the option to share their capacitor level; 2- Gives us quick info on who we need to cap; 3- Can't see the enemie's level.
Discuss? |

Takes a slot that can be very useful. We better make a mod that scans the shield and armor level.... |

would also like an indicator if the user is being effected by ECM.. As a logi pilot there is more than just
Cap, Shield and Armor Their or other things plick Project ECCM, Sensor boost, tracking enhancers.
For cap there could be a yellow under line in the watch list and a Symbol apear on the watch list to see what negative effect he may have on him |

That makes it a tactical choice wether you fit it or not, which is a good thing. |

So it would be logic to remove the shield, armor and hull gauge? |

No it wont because it will never be used. There is no gameplay reason not to atleast see cap level in the watchlist. Its lack of showing there is likely due to legacy code relating to how cap is programmed. |

Not really, therer very basic information on your target and allow you to make tactical descisions based on what/how he is tank etc, it is the the most basic of information, any more and you need a module to do that.

Well withtout cap the ships defences go offline and you cant fire (depending on the weapon ofc), so yes it falls in the ''basic'' category.
Swap the hull gauge for the capacitor gauge, now it would be VERY useful.
Introducing a module in order to see this crucial info is not a good move, you would have to lock every guy one by one. In this line of thought, we also find a module to see the shield, armor and hull level. |

i support the orriginal idea if you use escape settings u can set yout cap to visible and when you get a lock or add to watch list you see 4 bars not 3 top bar shiels next armor next hull next cap |

I'm having a hard time determining if he's making fun of my idea or not there... Mana = free spells = ???
Anyways, anyone think it would reduce the quality of the gameplay? |

you already have one built into the hud. Nice sarcasim. I like the idea of of having to use the ship scanner. Restricting this information to a logi does nothing for the logi broadcasting it over TS or other voice coms.
Also, get a feel for how much cap other ships have and what you have the ability to transfer. A good logi pilot should have a pretty good idea after a while of how many cycles of cap a type of ship needs.
Fit the ship scanner for a week or two and I'd bet you have a great idea. If you suck at telling when the cap is full on a ship then giving up a cap recharger in trade for a ship scanner will likely be more efficient for you in the long run.

You already have to target someone to see their shields, armor, hull unless you are fleeted with them.
The only way I'd go for a cap gauge is if it was available only for the people in your watch list. IE you have to be fleeted with them, and they have to be one of the few you have on your watch list.. and I still don't like the idea, but that could work I guess as a compromise. |

Well yes, the watch list would be the best solution.
I will add, or correct a thing I said. I dont want this to tell us when the cap is full, only 2 shots is usually enought. I want this to MONITOR the cap so the guys on my watchlist dont have to broadcast non stop (nightmares are cap hungry beasts). And seriously, who the hell boardcasts on voice comms?! I can't imagine a fleet with 50 players broadcasting over comms.
So,
1- Only fleet members with the ''show capacitor level to logistics'' checked will be shown; 2- Logistics must have them on their watch list to actually see their capacitor level.
Sounds good now? |

We already can see their shield/armor/hull amounts using the watchlist, why not cap? Its not like you will be fleeted with an enemy... usually. |
