Perhaps guns should receive either an hp bonus or sig radius bonus from the online and active tower. The amounts of shield/armor and sig radius would be the same as it is now but if the tower is taken out than their total hp goes down and sig goes up. That should allow the bigger ships to get better shots on it with sig or kill it faster with the hp.

That 90% structure bonus should be 99.99%, and then the structure HP dropped by several orders of magnitude.

Making the tower give POS modules HP bonuses would be the best option. For instance, some of the modules have over 10m HP of structure and armor - make it have something like 10,000 if it isn't anchored in the presence of a control tower, or if the control tower goes offline.
Easiest way of dealing with it.

Or... they could just get automatically unanchored and you could steal them for yourself. Either way, I'd like this.

yep right now spamming you pos with small guns will make it take at least twice as long to clear the guns as it does to take down the pos  even offline they are nuts to kill.

Kill the tower and ignore the guns till you have the time to deal with them.
Only reason you would want to kill the guns is for placing your own pos and that should take some effort too.
