Probably because any pirate corp today isn't even a shadow of some of the original corporations who graced Eve four years ago. The same corporations who assisted in physically forcing change of game mechanics because of their tactics and methods of engagement.
m0o corp, Jokers, FRICK, Teddybears and Tundragon, along with still surviving SNIGG are the finest and foremost pirate corporations that come to mind.
To this day when compared to these five names, no pirate corporation that roams Eve can stand taller.
It really is that simple.
But must we have the thread nearly every month? What happened to Eve Search? That is what I was implying when I stated I find it humorous.
Next month we'll have a new thread, same content, different Subject Title, different author.
Edit: Another one that gets done to death, and one that should be popping up very soon is a new thread with suggestions on revamping the Bounty system lol

Forsaken Empire <- HEY YOUR LUCKY YOU GOT SO MANY US PLAYERS OR ELSE WE WOULD FIGHT YOU NEWBS
Paladins Of the Redskull <- Cre mavrel and Alg proto back in there hayday a damn good group
Corp 1 <- c4w for the banter and always having his guys ready to fight
Burn Eden <- because not only do they pirate you they pirate the forums
Dark Cartel <- the tank ceo veido makes it worth the list he doesnt even need to undock anymore pirateing in osprey ftw
FZN, ENDGAME and company <- still got that magic touch
The new guys havent seen in action that much but kleptos is a large pirate corp at least :-) and veto is just a horrible name

I only blasted through quickly but how come space muppets, biomice or Zombies didnt get a mention?
After spending years in Tundragon and alongside Teddys it was a blast, its sad to see we have gone as corps, with only myself and Zola left of the old Tundragons...everyone else gone bye bye

TBH threads like this pop up all the time and its difficult for people too look past the forum activity of some pirates.
Unfortunatly alot of people mistake excessive forum presence for skill in-game. There has been alot of good pirate corp but i dont really think fly the flag high anymore, alot of the best pirate corps are dead and gone now.
People like:
1)Mo0
2)Biomass
3)Space Invaders
4)Tundrag0n
5)DNA
6)M3G4
7)Jokers
Ive probably missed a few out but all these forged the way for others.
Although there are more recent pirate corp such as:
1)SNIGG
2)VETO |

lol.. theres no way klepto is gonna be in the top, how long have they existed? like 3-4 months maybe. I think they all time best pirate corps are the once from early on when ganking cruisers and haulers in lowsec were cool, and killing a battleshop were something BIG:P m0o, tundragon, md-k, jokers, space invaders, teddybears comes to mind.

Good post. Fortunatly i've had the pleasure to fly with most of the pirate corps listed. Although i've only fought against m0o and Space Invaders. M3G4 i fought against whilst being in Xanadu and it was during the great northern war against TTI. They shot down my Armageddon with x7 250 Protos (Best weapon in game at the time) and 7 Mag Stabs :P
Sometimes i wish i never got rid of my original character, he was a part of Eve history...

darwin just gank....... even then they've failed to gank us time and time again even with more numbers than us..... i mean just baiting all the time is getting stupidly predictable
