Hey all
Well in the game i know that people have the one ship they love and use all the time. my self it is the drake battle cruiser, just for the fact that it can either be a passive tank or a shield tank and with the right set up i can engage other ships up to 54k which is the max range of my missiles at this time and the use of my drones up to 45k.
so what is your most loved ship in game any and all ships apply from shuttle to titan
please give a reason for it to
i know that a lot of people like the drake for level 3 and level 4 misssions. i have done my first solo level 4 mission in my drake with it being a passive tank with the recharge rate that is the best i have had yet |

I believe you were being mocked, Liang. How does it feel?
Also, Rifter. The Rifter is magical and seems to attract dumb people to underestimate it like no other frigate does. There are tons of other "interesting" ships to fly, and I fly a wide variety of ships of all races, but the Rifter has a special place in my heart.
Oh, also the Vagabond. Because it is a giant frigate.
Edit: Yeah, I tried to take on a shield Talos with a Harbinger in a few test fights. I lost every time. How is the Talos so friggin good. |

Oh, that was a statement, not a question. Battleship blasters with tracking bonus and damage bonus, plus the massive tracking buff blasters got = amazing. It's a mini-Megathron that does more damage, and is way faster. And I am never letting myself be anywhere near it in a Vagabond.
Crucible has changed my perspective on Gallente boats quite a lot. It's not "lol, I can out-range it with regular short-range autocannon ammo" anymore. I've even started to fly Thorax, and it is quite a mean ship now. Not quite my favorite yet, but rather great, since it's still underestimated by most people. |

It's way better damage than the old way of using autocannons on the Merlin, and better than electron blasters (because lolrange). Once I finish Energy Management V for a MAPC II, I can use ions, but until then... we derailed the thread |

I know it isn't "The Best" as far as a PvP ship, but for me it is "The Best" as far as fun: The Sentinel. It is my absolute favorite solo ship of all time. The DPS is pretty low and it is limited to taking on gunboats, but it is just so much fun to dance 18km away from the target, destroying cap and gun optimal, while slowly grinding him down.
Most Frigates (T1 and T2), Destroyers, some Cruisers are dead before the fight even begins. It's so much fun. : > It's not you guys who need to repair what has been broken, it's us. CCP Wrangler |

I enjoy flying Kitsune and Sentinel, but strictly as long range (30-40 km) support ships. Their low tank makes me extremely nervous. That said, I have had great fun with both of them.
The most notable moment was when my gang engaged a Dramiel+Vagabond, only to realize they were tackle for an oncoming blob. I jammed both of them, and my whole gang escaped. Before I warped out, the Dramiel and Vagabond were futilely and angrily trying to bump me. I feel bad and awesome at the same time for that. |

Am I the only one who likes the Keres and Hyena here? (Respectively, 35+km long-point/ca. 14km scram--without heating-- and 20km web, ditto).
The few times I or people I know flew them over the years, it was always amazing and delightful how big of a pest of yourself you could make in a gang (/me giggles)...
Favourites:
PvE/Industry:
Tengu--Missioning in anything else is just too much like work after this one, plus can handle much higher-end solo PvE easily. Machariel--Even missioning is almost fun with this one--just blap everything from range, motor to next gate, repeat until done 5-10min later. Vargur--Like a Mach, just less flamboyant, more "workmanlike" in its' approach. I think it looks cooler, too, in some ways. Noctis--I just love these ships, they are freakin' cool, and work so perfectly in their intended role. Mammoth: Probably the best value of all the tech I haulers. Drake--Versatility and PvE capability across a hugely broad range of applications. Will grow with you for a long time, as well. Orca--HiSec carrier. So endlessly useful in almost any situation!
PvP:
Drake, Hurricane, Harbinger--Such a delightfully perfect performance : cost ratio, such wonderful versatility, and fully insurable! Plus the Drake is so tastefully-restrained sexy/majestic looking. Haven't flown a PvP Myrm yet, but many I know also swear by it, for the same reasons (and it also looks cool). Rifter--The so adorably perfect little PvP ship. If I was ever forced to choose only one ship in which I must stay for the rest of my EVE-life, then I would choose this one, without hesitation. Jaguar--I like Rifters. I like shield-tanking. I like fast shield-tankers, and the Rifter hull--so here is the perfect evolution of the Rifter. Lovely slot-layout, soon to improve even more. Wolf, Enyo--Very pure expressions of the ganky assault frigates, and soon to be even better. A bit slow for my tastes, but whatever... Ishkur--Turn loose the Swarm!! Falcon, Rapier--I like pissing leet-sters off, and these ships do this really, really well Force-multiplier, dig it, baby! Vagabond--Giant interceptor, lots of fun to fly. Stiletto--The best gang-ceptor, bar none. Crow--Criminally under-appreciated by most, but we who like to fight at long range "get it." Hyena, Keres, Kitsune--more fun ways to **** leet-sters off and generally be a pest. Vigil--the ninja-salvager's best friend. Helios--of the 4 CovOps, it has enough powergrid to fit a MicroWarpdrive, and a small shield buffer without an MAPC. And then, you've still got 3 more mid-slots, and 3 lows to play with. Manticore--really, all 4 of the stealth bombers, but this one has the most CPU, so easiest to fit/most versatile. Widow--The coolest ship ever. Still waiting on some skills to make full use of mine. I A/F/K cloak in Jita. Does that count? |

The Hyena is too paper-thin for how much attention it draws to itself, IMO. I've been telling myself to try the Keres (I have Gallente Frigate V and EAF IV), but I never got around to training sensor dampeners. Is it really that fun? |

35km point, IIRC. Much cheaper/more mobile than an Arazu/Lachi, though they all need an EHP and speed buff + signature radius reduction, they pop much too easily now. I A/F/K cloak in Jita. Does that count? |

The Maller actually makes a nice cheap bricky tackle/neut ship. It sucks at doing damage, but you can pack it with neuts and a cap booster to shut down any target. I think I had a 2x medium neut + 4x small neut setup with around 40k EHP once. |

Mine Has to be the Hyperion of mine named the Mirabell BS MK II :D i love it to bits, granted it can't shoot anything up close, but that's where the drones come in of course :) i love flying around in my Hyperion, granted its not the most powerful ship going around, but i love the fact that with the fitting i have given it it does'nt really have a fear of being destroyed more-so thanks to its dual armor repping and such ^^
Then again i do love piloting in a Megathron for much longer range gun-fire, only i am not overly fond of the Megathrons design, but its otherwise a brilliant ship in my personal view.
AAAAAaaand i do love piloting a good old fashioned Atron around for a little sight-seeing :)
But if i could put them in order it'd be Hyperion, Atron, Megathron out of fun :) Are we losing our title as Demi-God? what if their will be an upgrade? such as a D.E.M.I-GOD V1.2?-á -Scourged through the years .. Revived through fire, born through machinery, killed through silence. |

A long time ago in a galixy far far away... 2006 I think it was. I baught a Vigilant for 50 mill, which was a fearly big deal to me at the time. It wasnt half as good a ship then as it is now, and I had all my SP in compleatly the wrong places for it. But I loved my Vigilant, and flew it all the time, despite many warnings that faction ships were for keeping safly in hangers.
Now in 2012 it has somhow survived. Of course it dosnt get out and about with me as much as it used to. But its a much better ship now than it was. It got some much needed buffing when all the other faction ships were beefed up. Whats more I actualy have the SP to get the most out of it now.
So Vigilant gets my vote for sentimental reasons. But besides thoes hear is a reason that some one else might give a damn. Its fragile, expensive, and does a lot of damage. Flying an undertanked, overpriced, glass cannon that isnt even worth firing untill you can see the whites of the enemies windows can give you a prity decent rush.
Also you can describe it as a Big Black Space ****. Crude, but im sure some people like that sort of thing. |

Frig size : Bombers, Manti or Hound in particular. They are the Ak-47 of eve, the weapon you use when you're outgunned anyways.
Cruiser / BC size : Falcon Actually I don't like the way ECM works for the moment but I love the idea of dedicated E-war ships. I hope someday the electronic warfare will be funnier to play and play against.
BS : Maelstrom A bit pricey for T1 but nothing spells "a bang for your buck" better than the bang of eight 1400mm guns. |

Anathema - Cutest looking frigate.
Orca - Portable station assigned to alt that can go anywhere. Wet dream for any serious explorer. |

Vagabond is my most successful pew pew ship.
It's a very good balance of speed, tank and deeps.
The speed means you can dictate the terms of the fight and tank and deeps make that actually worthwhile doing.
My favourite is probably the daredevil or the vigilant. The webs make blasters good again. |

Imo.. it's not just the brute power and the webs that make all 3 serp ships solid.. it's that they still manage to maintain respectable speed when buffer'd with plates n armor rigs, that sets them apart from other blaster ships. |

I have to go with the pilgrim for reasons already mentioned. It's flexible as hell, perfect for both plexing in low and stalking targets in null. You are limited in the fights you can pick, but you do get to pick and your ability to gtfo is fairly good when you target is cap dry and likely sperging into some intel channel(s) for help. |

Ferox - Now I know you all call it useless but I think it is quite useful as a missile command ship (Yes hybrids **** off I still don't care about your update) and you can active tank it quite well. HM fit with some siege modules at a cheap price and your fleet is in business. The one problem with the Ferox is that it is quite cumbersome so you will always want to be sniping far away.
Still one last reason is the damn thing is symmetrical unlike a lot of ships in the game. I do shy away from ugly ships. (Griffin is an exception) |

combat wise it would probably the Drake, it's like the Sherman tank of WOII not the most hightech and dangerous ship, but, cheap and every farmer that can drive a tractor can use it.
Cost efficient though it would be my Crane.
and because I want it to be a Widow
A Drake is more like a T34, rugged durable and all around versatile. The Sherman was a pile of junk. Only when the Brits got a hold of them and started turning a few here and there into Fireflies did they actually gain any respectablilty. Numbers and massive amounts of aircover made the Sherman viable. Even then Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks could match them one on one. The Panther would take down 5 Shermans for every Panther killed, The Tiger would drop 10 Shermans for every Tiger lost.

My favorite ship, is probably the Vexor, it can do everything. You can put a LSE on it and nano it, you can get over 700dps in a gank fit, you can 1600mm plate it and you can even fit sentry drones and have a cheap sniper, and in PVE you can even run level 4 missions in it (hint, just kite).
The vexor does all this, at a very reasonable price.
Recently though, I like the ferox nearly as much, especially the pulse laser fits, no one expects it, and it does okay DPS, at Decent range, and it is very rarely primary, and when it is, the shield resist bonus lets logistics have an easy time keeping you up. Blaster fit it does pretty damn good DPS, and the null buff is making it's range not so bad there either.
However, my favorite ship to look at, is the Phantasm, it is such a beauty. |
