Hello I recently purchased a new computer and I'iv installed and updated every driver. Done Eve after, but now with eve I have a problem. It apears (tho not 100% sure) that when I mission and use my drones, sometimes (within 10minuts atleast) My pc crashes, I get a bluescreen (memory dump) with an error message on top saying "Bad_Pool_Header".
I have a minor problem with about 20-30 windows updates that wont install (I just dont know why, Ive disabled all the firewall/programs etc, nothing I do works.)
Could this be related, and how do I fix this problem? If it's not related, what could eve be crashing on and how Do I fix it? Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Wachtmeister ([email protected]) |

Less responds then hoped for :s I've uninstalled the game, and redownloading the full client. Hopefully, it was curupt data with the patching (my last install was kali(1) or so)
I'll inform how it goes after this, It's really shamefull, I've already lost 15 heavy drones because of this
If it doesn't work after this I hope someone with more technical experience could assist me. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Wachtmeister ([email protected]) |

Edited by: Guilliman R on 22/07/2007 17:39:21 nope, reinstalling eve doesn't fix this problem 5 more expensive drones lost again >.<
Bit serius now The error I get is blue screen BAD_POOL_HEADER (this time it happened on it's own, I didnt press anything) and the error code is

Does anyone know what this is, and how I can fix it? I'm only having these crashes when I play eve *edit; I've searched the microsoft database for it, but nothing has been found about this error :s)*

If I dont recall it wrong I used to get thah error message on a computer I used a few years ago. I think that that problem was memoryrelated, IE a hardware issue. I don't really remember that much about it, and I does not explain why you cant install windows updates. I would have tested to reinstall all hardware drivers (downloading the latest) and have a look at things such as cpu/gpu temp. and memory settings. If you have not managed to update your windows to sp2 that might be creating errors?

I have filed a petition to eve, as it is indeed memory adressing related with eve only (prehaps they know which)
the windows updates was a mere software problem that got solved by contacting a microsoft help desk. I recieved a batch file that redid all the dll access or w/e
as for the drivers ive tried it all (appart from full windows install, and i'm not doing that, The install went fine anyway.
If this is hardware related I will test by removing one memory module and if it works, switch with the other if I only get crashed on 1, i will return it to the store.
Thanks for the imput so far, I will keep this updated once I know more. -Wachtmeister ([email protected]) <3

So I've become a lot more wise after this.
It's not a hardware problem as I'm having it with both my ram sticks.
After a new type of stop code 0x000000c5 (0x00000004, etc)
I've stumbled upon this, pool damage http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188831/EN-US/
I just have no single Idea what this is about. I understand the memory adressing allocation, to not overwrite important windows data in the RAM, But with this 'tool' I have no clue how it works, Ive done whats in the guide, but nothing happends. I don't suppose anyone here knows about it. I will certainly contact MS after my dinner.
Also, I really don't want to format my pc and redo windows completly (as thats the only 2d solution to fix this registry error, besides whats explained on the link I gave)
