What's the quickest way to get into a BS? I'm in a Thorax atm, and have been for a long time, but I'm getting a bit bored of it and want something better. My mining skills are very good, but I dont have the time or inclination to sit there mining for that long unless I have to. Is there any other *quick* way to get into a BS?

Why do you need a batleship is really the question.
If you plan on getting a battleship to mine more per hour then it would be best for you to cancel your sub right now. since it will only be a matter of time until you get bored beond belief and will quit anyways.
Start in a cruiser or even a frigate and learn PVP, then get a BATTLESHIP to fight in it.

Fastest way if to steal of couse, but barring that. Just mine and mine and mine with a thorax. When you have 150 million or so do as Omniwar suggested.

If you don't have patience to work to get a battleship than it probably wouldn't be a good idea for you to have one. As you are not going to apreatiate it.
Mining is not the only way to do it, you can also be a trader, or a pirate.

-speak french
-join corp L'Empire
-work hard
3 days later at max u have enough to pay a BS with all equippement and insurrance I think

fastest way is to sell a piece of tritanium to TTi for 100 million isk.

Agent missions gaved me a BS in 1 1/2 week..
Only a dominix but still...

I used to think the exact same thing, and frankly minnign alone is boring and would make you insane. However, I found if your doing it with corp members it's more like just having a chat then work, I actually find minning a rather relaxing experince myself.

mate i share your pain ive been stuck at the cruiser half way house for ages but since i started mining in 0.0 ive been hauling it in and this weekend ill have the isk for a bs,
first sell ur thorax that'll get u some isk towards the bs
second get a low lvl cruiser and fit it out of mining
third get a decent indy (10k cargo or more)
look for a place with bistot (ill sell ya a top notch bist location for 8mil)
take ur cruiser out there and make a secure book mark then leave it
go back home in ur pod
take ur indy out and switch into ur cruiser
find a belt with no rats (yes such places do exist)
mine about 500 bist (or whatever fills ya hold)
pick it up and leave cruiser in safe place
haul bist
refine, sell minerals or whatever gets u the most isk
repeat (each load of bist should get u 8 or 9 mil so in a couple of weeks max u'll be in a bs)

I would say start on agent missions get some good social skills connections, and negotiations primarily. Work up to a level 3 agent with a very high eq. Usually I get myself a implant once a day which I usually make at the least 12 mill dont get wilpower much. Less than or just about 5 days you will have enuff for a bs of course Im not gonna tell u how I get so many imps but its ez to figure out. Also make sure you have good engineering skills, good electronic skills and such. Sure you r in a bs but whats the point of being in a bs if u cant take full advantage of it. Or............. Join a good mining corp and work for them.

so true...  but im more of the insane type anyway but ventrilo and great corp mates makes mining mutch more as a time of just hanging out and talking and relaxing

Memories, like the corner of my mi...oh sorry, viceroy as usual made me feel nostalgic.
well as of today mining anything rare "should" be extremely hard, so that rules out the get rich quick thing.
I would recommend agent missions or join an extremely rich corp and get in good with the ceo and directors. Or heres an Idea...SAVE UP. Mine up all of what you need minus the rares and then buy the rares and the bp and....BUILD IT YOURSELF.

haha the good old days when lock time on a blackbird on my badger 2 was good. i would see some camping noob at nonnie or how ever u spell it gate and jam him before he could jam me . ahhh the good old days :).

Just one thing to bear in mind, before you take that shiny new BS out for a play, check your skills.
I am sure, that our most experienced PvP players out there, will testify that you can tell those that have the skills to back the BS up, and those that have just moved up from a cruiser.
My first BS, was a Scorp. In 0.0 it had a rough time with the rat spawns ( when they could be chained hehe), as I had 225mm railguns and heavy lasers  . It was another week before I got my large skills, and things started falling into place.
Won`t even go into torps,cruise missiles and the likes hehe.

play, play, play
think on power up your character, the ship is only a dress, and the difference is the pilot (skilled or not).
take a BS before a hard powerup cause BS lost
simple and true my friend....

Ok cheers. I think I'll try agent missions: they seem to have good rewards and let you be afk a lot of the time . Its also an area of EVE I havent explored well for a long time. |

What corps' agents shouldnt you go for? I'm thinking of going for an Ishukone agent but dont want to find out that they lack something in this area after ive spent time getting a good standing with them. |

Battleshilps are also good for Rat hunting and yes mining, not just for PvP. Besides it'd be worth it to practice on rats to get the right skills up before squandering them away on PvP, also gives one the funds to replace the gear.
