Why not use the same system that a rather large mog does.
Add an option to report spammage, enough people do that then the user gets silenced while a gm investigates. I must admit that this was VERY effective in wow. Nothing like seeing a fresh level 1 gimp turn up in ironforge, start spamming and being stopped 5 secs later.
Open to abuse...yes, but I would like to think the average age/IQ of players in eve is higher....

Yea... you know my pain.
I'd hope ANYONE who reads this would post ANYTHING either for isk sellers or against it just so CCP sees our distain in these forums.
I am sure CCP knows... and is putting off the enevitable dedication of coding time to fixing the problem.
Nevertheless our collective venting has value if it is only therapeutic in my case.

the sheepest seller in a location always gets the sell, no matter if you as a buyer picks another more expencive one. but you pay what you as a buyer agree to.
Ok, so they pick some other item that nobody sells at that station.
Sure, just add "tinyurl" to the filter as well as all other redirection services. Now if legitimate users can't be asked to copy&paste the full URL it's their loss tbh.
We're sorry, something happened.

1. ISK buyers are not spamming the channels non-stop. 2. They BOTH are the problem. BOTH need to be dealt with.

Over on SWG the devs are making the credit spammers PvP enabled. They send out a system wide message telling everyone online and everyone comes running to kill them!
Maybee the devs here should do somthing like that. Launch them into space and flag them to everyone. I bet people would come from all over the galaxy to take them out! Just a thought.

Purchasing isk for RL cash isnt cheating. It is 'just' an illegal act as written in the agreements you sign when you create an account.
What people are rather ignoring is that the isk selling needs two roles: a seller and a buyer. If you can catch the buyers (which are most likely in YOUR corp, in the gang YOU are currently in) and punish those, the isk selling would magically stop. The sellers are just performing (an illegal) service. If there is no demand, the supply will vanish. Trying to cath the sellers will hardly help except because you cannot target those alone without hitting innocent players.
I like the idea of selling isk (isk=time) to ccp to reduce your account fees, while ccp sells to players for a higher price. It is like legalising drugs and making it possible to control the scene. CCP wins, we win, isk sellers lose.

Totally ignoring one half of the problem is obviously not working for CCP. They are concentrating on the buyers and not the sellers. BOTH sides need to be worked on. You are never going to catch every buyer so you need to start working at the problem from both ends.

This is just my personal opinion, but the isk-farmers wouldn't bother unless they were making cash, so there are obviously alot of people buying isk, probably the players that are saving for expensive skillbooks or ships but don't play enough to make the isk for them..
I have always been against isk selling/buying because it destroys the economy of mmo's and is a complete nuisance when all you see in channels are people trying to sell isk all the time, plus its completely unfair to all those who put the time in to the game and earn their ships and skillbooks..
There was one mmo where the gold farmers caused so much inflation within the game that it became almost impossible for anyone to afford items without actually buying gold, it became a spiral getting worse and worse, and the way the farmers made their gold was by camping high-end raid mobs, they would camp them 24hrs a day ,making it almost impossible for a normal player to achieve anything. as a result a lot of people simply left the game.
After 3+ years of playing eve-online my skills and ships are now very expensive, and its often a struggle to afford them, but when i buy a ship or skill ive saved for, its very satisfying, ..however thats destroyed when i see someone who's only been playing 3 or 4 days using a 3 or 4 year old char they've bought online or someone who simply used their bank account to pay for isk, that ive spent weeks saving for.
changes i would make to eve are:
1. stop character buying/selling
2. when an isk farmer is caught, check all their transactions and perma-ban anyone who recieved large sums of isk from them.
3. set up another eve server and have ccp selling isk and items on that server, casual players would then be able to transfer to that server and buy whatever they wanted from ccp, however once on that server the char would never be able to come back to the tranquility server.
4. people shouldnt have to petition farmers who advertise isk for sale, any char that is put on block by 3 or more players within a short amount of time should automatically be flagged for review by a GM.
5. put limits on trial accounts to prevent isk transfers to and from a trial account from other players, and put a value in the registry on peoples pc's when a trial account is accessed by the eve client, that would prevent any other trial account being used on that machine after the first one.

They dont care about getting killed, they could be being ganked 24/7 and still spam the trade channels. Buts it s not a bad idea to see how other mmo's have dealt with the problem.

I 100% agree buying ISK is cheating. Just think about being at the casino and asking your dealer if he couldn't slip you other cards if you give him 20 bucks.
GTC sale is also quite in this gray zone tbh.
