Now that T3 battleships have been hinted at for Rev 3, lets have some potential T3 Battleship Attributes/bonuses. They can be serious or silly, it's your choice.
I'll start.
Robin Hull: Rokh Role: Heavy Assault Ship
Caldari Battleship Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret optimal range per level and 5% bonus to shield resistances per level.
Ultra Heavy Assault Ship Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret optimal range and 5% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret damage per level
8 High Slots 7 Med slots 6 Low Slots Shield Capacity ~ 10,000 Targeting Range 150km

How about DRAGON? Sheesh, the Drake was nearly called the Dragon, so why not make the mightiest Caldari ship-of-the-line bear the name of the most famous of mythical creatures, keeping in line with the "T2 Caldari ships often being named for mythical creatures" thing.
Hmm, if I may take a swing at it, how about the higher-tier Abaddon being something named as simple and precise as Redeemer? Goes in line with the whole religious mindset, and has a simple, subtly-lethal edge to it (that was a badass weapon in Unreal Tournament). No more apocalyptic stuff, at least not directly... we got two battleships and a dreadnaught for that.
Hmm, for the Gallente, why not use the grandaddy of ancient dieties, and name the T3 Marduk? (Hmm... if that one is Marduk, be really cool for the T3 Caldari ship to be named Tiamat. Heheheheheh)
Hmm, for the Minmatar? How about something that suggests firepower along with that storm theme, like say, Firestorm?

I presume you mean T2 battleships?
But anyway, i thought they wern't going to be heavy assault battleships? I'm thinking either heavy logistics ships, or some new role. Perhaps the ability to start jump drives.
Or something i'd like to see, the ability to fit ONE citadel sized weapon, to be a more mobile mini dread force. --------------------------------------

A super HAC would be overpowered to hell and back.
A super command ship would make fleet command ships obsolete. T use gang assist modules we already have battlecruisers, command ships, carriers, motherships and titans. That is enough, I think.
A super logistic ship would make logistic ships obsoletes, too. And carriers + motherships already have that role. The only reason they haven't made logistic cruisers osbolete is that they can't follow a fleet jump after jump.
Jump drives should be limited to capital ships, ihmo. No one in his right mind want an entity to be able to hold a virtually unlimited amount of regions just with one huge fleet of tough battleships.
Ihmo, there should be three kinds of T2 battleships, as there is three tiers:
- One with improved firepower and tank, but nothing near HAC level. Something like a 30% bonus in the primary resistance and 20% on the second one, and additionnal T2 ship bonus more related to tracking and optimal than damage or rate of fire.
- One that would be very resistant to EW, but not significantly better than a T1 variant besides that.
- And one that would be weak against a battleship, but very efficient at killing cruisers and frigs. For example, an Armageddon with less hitpoints and slots than it's T1 variant, but with a 10% damage bonus and 50% optimal bonus per level for small lasers.

I totally agree with that and voiced this opinion in a different thread - they were (are?) once in the database as "Flagships", which to me sounds like it's something that will stomp right over some shipclasses, if the T2 BS will be about remote support, gang mods, or a combination of both there is a fine line between making a useless support ship, or one that makes one or several other ship classes obsolete
let's see what CCP's ideas are before judging the ship class, tho

Well personally I think something with a jump drive/mini jump bridge and normal stargate usage would be fantastic for skirmish warfare.
Just make sure the Gallente one is a Duvolle-skinned Megathron

We don't even need t2 BS's. Sort out game mechs first! Jeez.... And there are no good roles for them. Maybe an HAC type thing, but requires insane skill reqs, like both large turret specs to 5, as well as BS 5 and some other things at 5. But that's quite a no-no.
We need NO other ships atm.

Hm. I thought about this one a bit. 8 highs for sure. Then something totaling 12 respectively for mids and lows depending on race. 6 and 6. 5 and 7. 8 and 4. I think the real upgrades in a ship like this would be an increase in power grid and cpu for fittings.

Now, if we don't have a penalty, it will make every other battleship obsolete off the largest PG and CPU alone. This can fit 8 neutron IIs and still have room for a tank, which is a scary thought. I thought about all sorts of ways to make this less appealing. Some kind of delay before it can warp off again. A penalty to the cap to warp (25% cap in addition to normal consumption to warp. Feeds the NoS monster again ) Making it blaster specific to specialize it. Making it almost unable to hit smaller ships. (battleships already have this. See drone skills for details)
In short, I can't think of any way to 'balance' a T2 battleship.
Any ideas?

If tech 2 battleships were introduced, would have to be something along the lines of the skills for battlecruiser and then some...

heavy destroyers perhaps?
battleship skill, tracking and normal gun bonus heavy dessie skill bonus, damage bonus and 5-7.5% bonus to turret signature resolution(to take down cruisers/bc)
ROF penalty(though I guess mini one would probably need another bonus then rof)
less tank then bs, but better speed and lower mass(speed somewhere between cruiser and bs, probably a bit less then bc) mass about 75% of that of normal bs 5-6 weapon slots and 2 utility slots and about 8 total med/low slots
heavy dessie skill would need dessie 5 and motion analysis5

The only thing I could see a bigger Battleship doing, is being set up as an Anti-cap ship.

cept it will have little to no problem hitting ships of same classe or lower seeing the 50% range bonus... rokh can get 200km+ range fairly easy can it not? perhaps its dps isnt that great, but then this ship will get a 100% damage role bonus! AND 10% damage bonus from ship skill AND 10% ROF bonus from ship skill..
and at 200KM or so the tracking penalty realy doesnt matter..
these bonuses really scare me
