Ok, i have a weird problem, and I did try a lot of different things. Please only reply with potential solutions not already tried. And keep this topic to the point, cause there are MANY crash topics already. The main crash phenomenon is: the laptop crashes also after quiting EVE after a random amount of time.
So here it is: Laptop: HP/Compaq 6320, 945GM Graphics board, SoundMAX intergated sound device.
Symptom: after starting EVE, random BSOD after between 3-30 minutes. It does not matter if EVE has been shut down or not, but it does not occur if EVE has not been executed.
Tried (not working) solutions: Disabled sound, disabled sound accelaration, run memory test (to check for hardware memory faults), updated graphics board driver AND sound device driver, run laptop stress test (using Burntest). None of the above solutions work.
Suggestions welcome.
Best, Justus.

And I forgot to stress: I dont have a Realtec sound board!!! And: the BSOD reports a IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.

O yeah, I forgot to mention: It's not related to temperature **** either: The laptop presents the BSOD also well after quitting EVE, and the stress test (also using approx. 100% resources and using 3D and sound) did not present the BSOD.

i did notice near the bottom of the BSOD there is an audio.sys file being mention
ive only been getting this in the last couple of days and am starting to wonder if an update done to eve is causing the sound to feck up

Edited by: Justus Sandrius on 25/07/2007 19:31:48 Dr Trusts issue is not verifiably the same! Please state if you tested whether your computer also crashes after EVE has been running. Further, it is NOT audio related, I unloaded the audio drivers through the windows system driver control panel.

Edited by: Justus Sandrius on 25/07/2007 20:58:52 No way. It's a LAPTOP, plus, the laptop also crashes well AFTER EVE quited, which means power is not an issue, as the laptop consumes much more power while EVE is running. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.
