As the title says really.
Can a freighter pickup stuff from jetcans/secure cans alike in space; i.e. for hauling lots of ore when mining?

Nope, only from Freight Containers or Freighter wrecks I believe. (dont quote me on that one)

Yeah.. Freighters can only load cargo at stations or pos with the correct array or at a freighter wreck..

A shame, really. Would make for an excellent way to run a corp mining op, with one guy in a freighter as opposed to a squadron of haulers constantly going back and forth.

Only reason Freighters can't scoop cans is because the macro miners would have a f***ing field day. An army of Hulks in a field and a freighter, I can't think of anything worse.

Freighters not being able to pick up loot is a bit contranatura though... CCP have lost the plot a bit on this one methinks...
