How is this possible? I know people with low sec status can easily travel in high sec systems in a pod where they would be attacked otherwise but how is it possible for a pirate with -1.5 sec status to float in his hauler within a 1.0 system?

Yes, because if he is above -2, he wont get attacked in 1.0

he's only a real pirate if he has a 55k bounty his mate put on him for a laugh.
but anotying above -2.0 is good for high sec, then it scales down, 3 = 0.9 etc

You a not considered a pirate. Your simply taking advantage of people's will to help out others. I don't know what it is, but it aint pirating for sure. Besides, when will you engage Mr Dax in a 1 vs 1 BS contest. Show us what your e-peen's worth...
