You're bidding like 5 years worth of profits for the Hobgoblins and 10(!) years profit for the Valkyries.

Many people that buy T2 BPO's today have motives beyond just pure production. Some are going for a piece of a monopoly on a particular product; others are just space rich and want to collect them. Regardless, there's no need to play Auction Police. People bidding on these BPOs have their reasons. Respect their desire to spend their space bucks.

And other pilots think logically, and know that they can either:

a) produce on a BPO to make ISK, then sell the BPO on for the same/slightly less/slightly more ISK, having made a considerable amount in the time that they owned it.
b) simply sell the BPO for more to another buyer.

Many (serious) T2 BPO users know that this '2 year payback' or 'omg im going to be waiting 15 years till im in profit' crying bitches are dumb, you make your profit.. then you get your money back by selling it when you're done producing.

Yeah - until CCP nerf the T2 BPOs (which they have said they want to do), by making them much less profitable if you are in empire space. This reduces the number of potential buyers by a huge amount, thus driving down their prices. And then your so called "investment" is down the drain. Good thinking Batman.
