Good suggestion, but I'm worried about balance with this one. After all, if it's too popular everyone will just use this exciting new feature and nobody will play the rest of EvE.
Remember, when you propose paradigm-shattering gameplay changes like this one, you have to have an eye toward retaining the current player base, in addition to attracting all the new membership that would inevitably be drawn to the new version.

They put this wonderful thing called the Compare Tool in with Revelations I. You'll find it under the Variations tab in the info for items.
And to answer your actual question, Modulated Strip Miner II with the proper Mining Crystal II, preferably with paired Mining Laser Upgrade Is. For the non-barge vessel, Modulated Deep Core Miner II with the proper Mining Crystal II.
But I think the answer you're looking for is simply Miner II.
If you want to mine though, there is a very good reason that Covetors and Hulks dominate the high end of the belt-stripping business. -------------------------------------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales |

To awnser you question I am working on getting a barge. As of the moment I bought a crusier and can have 4 mining lasers on it and I was wondering which lasers I should put on it.
Thanks, Le Kin

the points people are making:
1. use the compare tool ingame. it isnt difficult to compare 10 different items on a single attribute. 2. use the ships+mopdules forum. this forum is meant to PROPOSE and DISCUSS ideas for the game, not ask questions about currently ingame features unless in the context of alterations. 3. lulzwtf?

The best mining laser is the XeCl.* Put as many as you can possibly fit on a BC or BS. An Interdictor will work as well. You will need a hauler though in-system, but jumping back to the station to get the hauler is a 15-30 second trip.
With the right skills, you'll be about 85-90% as efficient per minute a a barge, but you can tank rats and blow thieves away. Plus, you can fit a large number of mining drones as well.
*obviously a deep core mining laser with a merxocit(sp?) crystal is best, but you won't find merxocit in ES.

And mining mercoxit is a waste of time because its dirt cheap and noone wants it and its slow to mine.

Mining in a Rokh gets you close to a covetor (8x miner II, 2-3x mining laser upgrade 1-2x cpu upgrade 0-2x expanded cargohold) but is much more work. You'll have to drag out the ore about every cycle or more, while you can just wait for 5,5-6 minutes in a barge, then drag 2 cycles out and wait for another cycle.
