Daqko	Posted - 2007.07.22 17:29:00 - [1] Are there any items in EVE Online that were awarded as a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Like collector's items that no one can get anymore. Get my drift? A parallel item would be Diablo as a pet in WoW.

Things like the Opux Luxury Yaught, Imperial Apocalypse, Imperial Armageddon, State Issue Raven, Tribal Issue Tempest, Federate Issue Megathron, Gold Magnate (which was destroyed and therefore no longer exists and never will again), Silver Magnates, Guardian Vexors. There are possibly some more as well. Of course, some of them are rarer than others. A lot of those were given as prizes for various things, often in multiples (to teams for instance). However, many have been destroyed, reducing there number, and for some of them there was only ever one to begin with. Gold Magnate and Federate Issue Megathron fall into that category I believe. --- ---
Awateru	Posted - 2007.07.22 17:39:00 - [3] Yes there are. One christmas there were snowballs and snowball launchers. Also there are some ships that are only awarded as part of tournaments, such as the Gold Magnate and Silver Magnate, at one point there was the Opus Luxury Yacht, and others.
Trak'anon	Posted - 2007.07.22 17:40:00 - [4] the gold magnate was a unique ship no longer in existance furthermore, there have been several ships in limited quantities been awarded to tournament winners in the past years like the Raven State Issue, Gold/Silver Magnate, Guardian Vexor, Opux Luxury Yacht, Federate Issue Megathron, Imperial Issue Armageddon, Imperial Issue Apocalypse and Tribal Issue Tempest.

These ships have to be preserved, not wasted... But I guess that is part of the whole builder-destroyer, hobby-game, warden-crusader, carebear-killer issue that will never be sorted.
