yer have they ever listened to any idea the players came up with?
here i mean if they ever have listened to an feature idea, not just a fix of balance.(which might aswell been one of their idea's).
well wondering since, i am not going to use any more time writing down idea's if they have never actually taken one in use.
a fast dev team reply would be very appriciated:) ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded |

Actually, now that I think about it I may have come up with the original idea to nerf WCS...I casually suggested they cut sensor resolution and targeting range in half... Not gonna wade through the forums to back that up though.
EDIT: OMG I DID!!!! ------------ ULTIMATE LAG SOLUTION IBTL! IBDS/DC! IBTC! 1st in a BoB post! And other such forum tom-foolery. |

Djees we just had one of these last month.
Yes they have, loads of functions modules and even ships were changed/added due to the playerbase comunicating needs/cool stuff to teh devs.
Thats what the Idea's forum is for man.
CCP hopefully wont ever reply here, as then we'll have one of these demanding dev attention every other hour.
And as an example : traktor beam.

Yes they have, and are.
Forexample the killright thingy was picked up pretty much as proposed by a player(s).
That's a specific example.
Then there generic examples, like nerfing Privateer Alliance. This due to either simply "sensitivity" to flood of tears and inability/willingness to adapt, or more likely over concern for potential income loss losing the weaker elements of the playerbase from suscribers.
...and let's not forget paying attention to player concerns about fair play (concerns of various degrees in tinfoilhats and judging without concrete materials at hand).
But as for ideas, there are whole array of features and functionalities that were digested from user input, and quite frankly as far as I know game companies, this is where CCP really shines beyond and above any other.
...but have our ideas, wants and demands been for the good of the game? Hardly - we're like the whiny citizens of any democrasy (most seem to be under an illusion that this is some kind of ...), we want the good and don't want to accept the affiliated bad. And if CCP acts like your generic politicians, the decisions made then will be sucky compromises to all, or at worst case leaving us worse of than to begin with...
Things are pretty good in this "department" as far as I am concerned

Sometime last year I proposed warp-to-zero as a cure for the bookmark induced lag.
I quit playing for a while, came back and there it was! It's the best thing that ever happened to Eve. I particularly enjoy that pirates don't like it.
Now if CCP would just pop all secure cans in space once a year.....
