Thanks for the info.
I suppose it atleast cut down abit on the sploits, as fewer belts now qualify for it.

How big were they before?
EDIT: That is, how big were the GRIDS before?

But now I can't gank afk miners in 0.0 because the NPC's will get them before I can.

belts seem to be fixed (grid are indeed much larger). I think ccp made a good job on that.

Approximately 300km or less in some places.

It's funny seeing people warp to what they thought was a grid and realise they're perfectly visible

Glad I hauled my 60000 units of mega and 30000 units of Zyd, and several thousand units of Morphite out of 0.0 last night.
Not too bad for a solo pilot in an Omen/Bestower over a several week mining operation.
That's over a billion isk that CA will never see.
Between this change and the reduction of mega/zyd in agent reward items, mega will not stay at 14isk per unit long!
I can't wait for the mega prices to go through the roof!!

The only thing that counter acts the increase in high ore prices is the reduction in the NPC spawn strength. However I think the fix to hidden belts and high end ores disappearing from tech 2 items will most likely lead to a high end mineral increase yet again.

It was decided that fixing this was not as high a priority as other things that needed to get done and fixing it was put off until at least the next patch.
At first I wanted to impose a fascist regime on behalf of the pirates where they would wander and warp around the belt they were infesting proactively. So, you wouldn't just have them moving belts after a period of idleness, you would have them proactively patrolling their current belt in the meantime.
However, after an e-mail conversation with a player who responded to a post of mine about this, he convinced me that it took a lot of time to find some of the more distant asteroids from the belt center and that there should be some reward for the effort.
At this stage the plan is to make the pirates wander a belt proactively while they are stationed there, but the chance of them detecting someone way further out will be significantly lower.
If you have an opinion about this which you can provide reasoning to back it up with, feel free to add it here. Whether it is really that difficult to find the outlying asteroids or whatever. If you wish to disillusion me of something but do not think that others need to know about it, feel free to email [email protected] which I read on a regular basis.
