I want to run missions to eventually get a Machariel 
I've hear you can get machariels or their BPCs from level 4 Angel Cartel missions.
However, I've also read these missions are based in 0.0
Therefore, am I right in thinking I've got to be a master of PvE and PvP to get anywhere near?! (This would mean that my ambition could take years!!!)
All advice is welcomed!

You see, if I can get a Machariel, or its BPC in high sec, I'm sorted! Is this possible???
(I'm a carebear at the moment, and the prospect of travelling through low sec is worse than missions for me!)

You can buy one from the Contracts system from an Empire location.
Or, head out to G-0Q86 and join the Cartel. You will probably find some player corporations are already based there. Maybe they will let you join them. Won't hurt to ask.

Thank you for the advice! Of the two options, I'd rather buy one using the contracts system. For me, the ethos of a corporation is more important than getting the ship. Having said that, I'm sure that the local Corps are excellent, but I'm very happy with Eve Uni so far!

machariel best BS in eve by far.. if only for its speed alone =)
I owned 1 when they were 400mil each .. good old Farming from RA ;)
