now when i start eve i get the game starting neither in windowed mode nor fullscreen mode , seems to be between the modes somewhere , i have to hit esc , change the setting from windowed mode to full screen , let that take effect , then hit esc again and change to windowed mode , then let that take effect and eventually it starts to work properly , it all worked well this morning prior to patch ??
what is going on .....

I had this problem the path before Castor hit. It didn't happen all the time, but often enough to **** me off (*censored version - irritated me*). The only thing that worked for me was a re-install from a full download version; not one that needed patching.

Same for me since this patch
I have found if i change my screen size then put it back it works fine

I got that problem too, but would a solution that doesnt involve a re-install or changing settings everytime I log on.

I've found a work around for the small windows char selection screen.
If you click on the << button, it takes you back to the login screen. Login again and you get a proper sized char selection screen (I've confirmed this multiple times).

I get the same problem. After clicking login and going to the character selection screen my screen is totally fubar. After pressing alt-enter to go to fullscreen and alt-enter again to go back to windowed mode EVE is running in 1024*768 (not good)...

Using an Nvidia Geforce 4 here, so it's probably not the drivers, although I have checked to ensure mine are at the latest version.

Yeah I've suffered at the hands of the new patch. I went from 1352 to 1378 and I had the probably since... I don't think it a graphics card of the drivers since every thing was working fine until the patch was installed. I think it's probably a corrupt patching, since some people say that the probably goes away after the reinstall and then repatch, but personally I think thatĘs abit baws havinĘ to do that

I have the same problem as well.
Nice to see customer support is really paying attention to such problems.
I thought about sending a petition. Then I remembered I was better off just hitting alt enter twice every time I loggged in. Waste a whole lot less time ust dealign with the bug then trying to get a decent answer from that petition system.

Heh, still no reply.
Funny thing is I have two acounts. I have Eve installed twie because of conflicting cache bugs between accounts.
Anyways one program starts as normal. The other starts with everything crammed into the first pop up window for Eve.

just hit alt and enter twice then it restores to normal

Great to know the video bug has been fixed. It was really annoying. Hopefully 1379 can be made available soon to us.

They really do not seem to care. They could not even take the time themselves to tell us "the fix is coming soon." Much less even give us a date for the fix.
All I know is I am getting tired of rearranging all the windows each time I log in. Nevermind having to switch video modes twice.
