Hi,
I just made the basic system of the Eve Income Analyzer (http://eveincome.sourceforge.net/) I started writing open source.
The general project page from which you can also download the sources is

Good job mate.
The project files (.sln and .scproj) seems broken on my machine.
what version of VS do you use? Probably 2005 I guess. I have both 2003 and 2005 but boh of them says that the files are unrecognized.

Hi,
I use Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition. First start Visual Studio and open the project from there. Double clicking on the solution file does not work for me neither for some odd reason. If someone has any idea why I would be interested in knowing

Yes it is on my todo list (see Source Forge Tracker List). On this weekend I have just added a time distribution view to see at which weekeday and which hour the most sales occur.

I really like it so far.
I would like to see what happens when you add the buy/sell orders. I'd also love to see the actual profitability of items listed... not just how much we sold them for. It would be nice to know if it was better to sell 10 100 mil items or 100 10 mil items all at a glance of a chart. Comparing the avg buy and sell prices multiplied by the number sold would be a way to determine the profit from each item so far.

Hi,
I have two issues:
1) The width of the program doesn't fit with my laptops screensize/resolution, and I can't adjust it without hiding parts of the interface.
2) All isk-values are 10 times too high. For example, it says my wallet balance is 64.772.811.941,00 isk. (I wish  ) It should be 647.728.119,41 isk. Same with sales and so on.

My account balance is correct.
The width of the program seems wrong for me too. The calendar has no right arrow button on it and I don't see SAT.
Also, the time distribution needs some error checking code in there. If you set the date to a time before you have any data the chart includes 0 isk for those days. There should be a check to only calculate as far back as the oldest entry. Either that or there should be a way to easily set the date to the time/date in which you first have data for. Currently I have to reset the "FROM" date each time I open the program, which could get annoying as the months go on and I have to keep going back multiple months.

The account balance thing sounds strange for me. I will add the resizable window and the elimination of the first 0 ISK days. For the analysis the default start date is in the moment today. Are you interested in moving the start date to the first date, where a record exists?
Also someone asked me on the source forge forum, if it is possible to support more than one account with it. This would be a major structural change. Are there a lot of people intersted in this feature?

That was me, I was thinking if the program could just remember ID and key in the insertion bit to be able log on and off for different accounts.
At the moment im just running 2 instances of the ap.

Hi,
windows are now resizable and when switching in the time distribution view behind the first sales the statistics are not afftected any more. You can either download the package from sourceforge and who had the program already anyway will get the auto-update as usual.

very nice tool
I found some bugs and i got something on my wishlist.
Bug:
-account balance (for me it shows 2.595.918.350,00 but in real it is 25.959.183,50)
Wishlist:
-At the time selection i would like to see a button called "display all data"
-a function to import WalletTransaction xml files
i saved some old WalletTransaction and would like to be able to import these.
-in the best selling view i would like to see some sort of filter function
I would like to only view items i produce

Hi,
some people report a bug with the account balance display, 
unfortunately this does not happen on my side. So if you have the problem please tell me as much information as possible about it (like is it permanent, did it appear suddenly, what is and what was,.....)
A lot of people are asking for the import of orders from the XML that can be saved ingame. I know this would be a nice function but I postpone it for the moment until I see the specification of the new API CCP is about to release. Because loading it from the API would be the much slicker solution.

I'll ditto these things.
The first is what I wanted when I said I'd like there to be a quick way to set the date to the first day for which you have data. Show all data is the same thing and is what I'd like.
I'd definitely like to be able to compare all items with the name 'Arbalest' in them, for example.
But, honestly, the major thing this is lacking is the orders. If CCP is about to issue some new ways of dealing with this information than that is fine.

Well give me some time,
I will chew through a couple of other features first. When this is done and there is no Api call for orders existing I will read in the last exported order set from the game and update this internally with the sales that happened since exprt time. I only requires that you export everything once you have put an order on the market.
In the moment I switch to Data Grid View and Proxy support. The proxy support is a bit delicate cause I can not really test it as I am not behind one. So once I have released it I will have to rely on you to tell me if it works.

I have another feature request, could the program be minimised to the area where my clock is? (where the icons for my firewall, avg, ect, sorry cant remember the name of that area) so I can stay logged in and unclutter my desktop.

My guess would be that the issue with the balances being displayed wrong is tied into the national Windows settings. In Germany for instance the thousands digit is usually set off with a dot, and the decimals start after a comma (i.e. 1.234,56, while english notation is 1,234.56).
If you use the wrong function to turn a string into a numeral on a german localisation of Windows it will misread all numbers.

That might be it. I have a danish version of Windows, which also uses the 1.234,56 format, and I get that bug.

German Windows here, too, also showing the bug. But looking at the char names on the screenies ("Brotmesser", "S*****enmesser") and the (real) name given in the source, I would suspect the author is german (speaking) as well and therefore should have experienced this bug himself.
Nonetheless, it looks like an error derived from regional settings.
I wish I could participate, but unfortunately I don't "speak" C#
A few wishes:
- (As previously stated) Multiple accounts would be nice.
- Let as define a default character. App currently starts with the (alphabetical) first char for the account, which isn't necessarily the main char on that account.
- Corp wallet. That could be a separate application derived from this one, where only corp orders get tracked/analysed.
But this is a pretty nice application, to begin with.

Does it work if you use

Ah, that explains a lot. Was scratching my head about that, because thousand/decimal separator is the first suspect for such errors, but than again you should have experienced that in the first place.

Yes that is the solution,
I will replace the Double.Parse in all read commands with the culture overwrite where it comes from reading from the eve-api and will keep the local format when it comes to local storage and display. So basically it will affect 2 places. One where it is read from the wallet data and one where the local sales prices on the market transactions are read. This weekend I will prepare a release that will include this change.

a new version has been generated. It now has a data grid view, a button to select the full data available for the character, proxy support and should have the localization issues with floating points fixed.
Could someone please confirm if the floating point issue is fixed and if the prxy support is really working as I am not sitting behind a proxy.

Hi,
The most up to date release has a real help system, the best Item Selling View as been tweaked for showing the figures also in the legend and to have the ability to walk through chunks of 9 consecutive items. The market view has been added, which is the same as the item view just for sales markets.

Hi,
My monetary plans are 2 more views and then the reading of the saved market orders with an extra view that takes the average sales speed of an market order to estimate when it runs out of stock. Then I will have to see if I close this subject and do bug fixing only or of I continue. Taken the current feature list it will take me prolly 1-2 months to implement the stuff.

If you are doing the multi-account idea, I think many of us use two seperate accounts to buy and sell.
Buy with char 1 on account 1 and sell with char 1 on account 2, any way you could implement to compare sales and purchases over two seperate accounts.

For the life of me I cannot get this program to work.
The first time I loaded it up it worked but then I moved the programs folders from my backup harddrive into my OS harddrive and I cannot get it to work again. I enter my API information and it recognizes my character and displays the correct ISK balance, but there are no listing of my market orders. I hit "all data" button, 'refresh' button, nothing is working
Anyone know how I can get it to work again?

Does this tool keep historic data or is limited to whatever data is in your transactions tab.
Also it just seems to list sales and not buys. Maybe I am missing something.

I too am having a problem where the application only displays an account balance. No wallet history is loaded. I'm guessing this is a compatibility problem with Vista.

It does keep historic sales. Click on the "All data" button on the right hand side.

Yepp, sales only. And it doesn't distinguish between personal sales and corp sales.

in wallet view can u make it show the buy orders too?
and put it in a way that is very easy to distinguish if the item
was sell order or buy order
