Joyce Odinsfeld stood outside the door to Camars office, she was feeling a little nervous since she had been called back from Amarr space in the purpose of infiltrating a few Amarr organizations and bring back any military intelligence. She had heard several rumors on her path back to Republic space, but as always regarding Camar she could never be certain of anything. Inhaling a deep breath she knocked on the door and waited for the door to open. With a sudden click the door opened an inch, she took another deep breath before entering the office.
Quickly she moved inside and closed the door behind her, as always when something important was going on the lights was very dim and she could barley make out the contours of the room. She could make out Camar sitting behind his desk, leaned back with both arms in front of him, it almost looked as though he was dead. Slowly she moved closer to the desk but there was no reaction from him, usually he always greeted all visitors, regardless if they worked for him or were guests of some sort.
ôSo, do you not agree that we look very peaceful in death my dear Joyce?ö
With the speed of a rattlesnake Joyce spun on her heel to face whomever had spoken to her. I shadowy figure was standing at the opposite wall casually leaned towards it. ôWho are you and what have you done to my commander!ö, she yelled with a harsh voice.
ôDo you not see? Do you not recognize my voice anymore?ö
Her mind was working overtime, it had been Camar sitting behind his desk, yet the voice from the figure at the wall had spoken with the voice of her commander. ôHow is this possibleàSir?ö
ôCome, join me at the panorama-window, the sun is just about to setö the figure spoke as he moved towards the ôwallö opposite of the door. As he did so the wall opened up and reviled a very wide panorama-window behind it. Joyce slowly made her way towards the figure, and as she drew closer there was no doubt û it was Camar.
ôSir, why is there a dollàof you behind your desk? Do you fear assassins?ö
ôNo my dear, what you looked at was really me, or I should say one of my bodies. In fact it is my last body. I have given order of not prolonging my clone-contract.ö
ôSir! You can not be serious! That means if somebody killed you now it would be final death. Let me give orders of them to re-instate your clone-contract at once!ö
ôNo, no Joyce. Wait and watch this sunset with me and I shall tell you what you must do.ö Finding it very hard to keep quiet she summoned the uttermost of her willpower to just stand still. Glancing at Camar she could only see sadness and the look of a very tired man. As the minutes passed the sun slowly sank behind the horizon and with the final rays of light Camar spoke again: ôJoyce, there are written orders on the desk for you to hand out to Ryas Nia and Taevin. First of all I am leaving the place as Exec of Fimbulwinter and both myself and Stormriders willàretire. I shall take my place among The Seven and from there manage what shall become of Stormriders. From a small band of terrorists we have grown into several large cities made up from freed slaves. Very few Stormriders with pod-pilot license will remain and those who do will be here to make sure our people prosper and protect them from outside threats.
Joyce found herself unable to speak when Camar went silent, so many questions filled her mind, but before she could decide what to ask first Camar continued: ôI shall also contact Midular and the Republic to make sure our colonies become a true integrated part of the republic as citizens, not as terrorists or outcasts. The task at hand for you, among the orders on the desk, there is also a pod-license for you, I know you have been flying ships but now it is official. You will be the caretaker of Stormriders once everything is done and for that you will need your official pod-license.ö

Joyce was dumbfounded, she could not just believe what she had heard: ôBut, but, but Sir! Why now? Why at all? The Amarr are still a threat!
ôYou are like a daughter to me Joyce, ever since you first flew with me and my brother and we battled the pirates that had stolen our wheat. Now my brother is gone, the last of my kin, and just as the sunset, the fire in me has burned out. Perhaps I will return one day from the temple of The Seven and the Amarr shall once again fear us. But until then, IF then, I need you to take care of all those we have freed, to remain ever vigilant and help Midular and the Republic to protect itÆs borders from intrusions. Answer the call of those who needs it, all my and SRS assets will be at your disposal.ö
She turned to face him, tears in her eyes: ôCamar, I am not worthy of this task, I CANÆT do what you ask of me!ö
Slowly he put his hands on her shoulders, looking her deep into her eyes: ôBut you canàdaughter, you have the will, the strength and the fire inside of you. I rest assure in the temple knowing that you carry on the legacy.ö With those words he leaned forward, kissing her gently on the forehead: ôFarewell child, take care of our ownö.
When Joyce came back to her senses she was alone in the room, the office that had been Camars for so many years. She moved to the desk and picked up the orders and her pod-license and whispered silently to herself: ôI will not let you downàfatherö. Her last thought as she left the office was that for the first time ever she had seen tears in Camars eyes.
********************************************************* OOC Clarification and for those who thought this was too much text: IÆm stepping down as exec of Fimbulwinter. All questions/whatever is to be addressed to Ryas Nia and Taevin. I am also taking a ôbreakö from the whole RP-scene/Eve so everything regarding Stormriders should be sent to Joyce Odinsfeld. Perahaps IÆll find the spark in Eve with another career, not sure yet. But I will take some time to review any and all ôoffersö sent, my only personal demand is that I no longer wish to have any form of a ôleadershipö role etc. (Grunt-status for me please ^^) And with this: Fly free and safe until our paths meet again, both friend and foe!

Chishan stared into the IGS terminal, wearing a thoughtful look. A moment passed, then she left this simple message.
Fly fast and safe to your destination, Camar.
As she turned away from the terminal, her thoughts whirled. So much change. An entire generation of leaders have either died or moved on, just in the last few months. It seems to have started with Karishal... then Meklon, Maggot and now Camar. Change is in the wind, it carries a smell of ashes, a voice whispered somewhere between Chishans memory and her subconciousness.
Well, at least Maggs is still flying... that's a bright spot to be sure, guess it's not all doom and gloom. Hopefully Camar will find a bright spot of his own, was Chi's closing thought as she returned to her Ammunition Inventory.

It may not be the complete break you are looking for Camar, but I'd love to see you amongst the company of free captains. We are currently enjoying a summer's R&R and training break in Pureblind and looking to further enhance our general combat and fleet control ability. Our current opponents are not the rank and file of the loyalists you are used you and we can offer a good range of alternative activities and targets to re-ignite your passion and idealism.
Anyway, please think about it. And in any case a salute to your past accomplishments and reputation in the star cluster.

A sad day, Camar, but also a happy one - I wish you all the best in your retirement, and to SRS too.
But the skies will miss you, and I'm certain you will continue to loom large in the tales of terror Amarr tell to their children to make them behave.

Yet another Minmatar terrorist comes to the realization there is no future in fighting the Amarr Empire. Those who reach this point invariably leave for deep space and look within at the crimes they have committed. Yet many of them eventually return and retake the mantle of war in one form or another.
While evil through and through and committed to bloodshed the terrorist Camar was an opponent to be reckoned with and it will not be the same without him. Yet there are many who would pickup the reigns and run with them and there always seem to be those ready to step in and fill the void left by great leaders. While Camar was a terrorist there is no denying the Fimbulwinter achieved during his tenure success in their pursuit of darkness.
The Amarr will not rest until the last Minmatar has surrendered and abandoned the cause of terrorism. We will not relax as one terrorist departing does not prove a victory in war. We will remain vigilant.

Dont worry Archbishop, Even if we lose a leader we will continue. Fimbulwinter is reorganizing as we speak, and will return quickly just as strong and just as focused as we were, if not more so. Executor ship should be moving to Warriors of the Einherjar with in the week, and Taevin, though Gallente, will be providing our direction.
As a pilot in Stormriders i learned a lot, its a sad day for me as well, and I will continue on in the organization until the full transfer of power and been made, as well as all of our active combat pilots have moved to the new corporation.
While Warriors of the Einherjar will have to build its own reputation, im sure the knowing most of its pilots are from Stromriders will be more than enough to cast fear into our enemies.

Best of luck where ever you go Camar, it seems that in fact that the good generation of leaders that I read so much about in secret while still training for my own license are stepping down, but no doubt in their place come new ones, and in place of one power another. All the best.

As I had indicated the Amarrians will not rest and make the false assumption this is the "end" of Fimbulwinter. Clearly your organization is capable of continuing its terroristic operations which is why you will eventually be yoked in service to the Amarr, bound in chains and held accountable for your crimes, perhaps even executed for murder....
If you surrender now I'm sure a "fast" execution of sentence could be arranged.

I-I wouldn't worry yourself over much, o-old man. You're not safe from the Minmatar wherever you go, or however close tabs you keep on them. I'd sleep in a lead-lined coffin if I was you. It would make self-burial easier.

In the end we are all called to account for our actions while alive by God and His laws. Having pledged my life to Amarr and knowing the Amarr are the chosen of God have made my conscious clear and allowed me to rest easy at night knowing I serve the greater good and do what is right.
I am sure likewise terrorists like Camar sleep restlessly at night, tossing and turning as the dreams of death haunt them, the endless faces of their victims lined up in a row to torment them and bring to them the realization they have sinned.
Yes in the end we are all held to account....

*with a somber look Kintaana reads over the dispatch regarding Camar's retirement for a third time. She then lays it down gently upon the polished ebon desk at her side and stares out the porthole at Gebuladi V as it slowly spins the glow of the system's star*
"A fine leader... one of the best.", she whispers to noone in particular. "The fight will continue, even if at the end I seem as tired and time worn as you were at the time of your meeting with Joyce."
*Gaining a sudden vigor, Kintaana unpins the insignias on her breast, folding them along with the retirement missive into an envelope, which is then tucked away into a locked compartment within the desk. With a sharp jab of her index finger the deskside voxrecorder is activated.*
With a quick clearing of the throat Kintaana begins, "It is apparent that a new element in the resistance is required, not just a strike force, but a rigorous supply chain to feed the fury of the Einherjar. So upon this date I, Kintaana, forge a new corporation under the ticker of [TROGB]. Our forges shall be fueled by the corpses of our enemies, and our pilots skill shaped in the crucibles of copper plated salvage. Fire up the forges, there is much work to be done..."
