I'm a RL radio DJ, and it seems like the RP opportunities for EVE radio are pretty cool. I havn't heard anyone do it yet, and wondered if anyone ever had.
"Live from the Aunenen system with on Old Earth favorite."
Here's on going out to the blood raiders, by request from the Caldari Navy Assembly plant in Nonni"
that kind of thing. *shrugs* just thought it'd be kind of cool. -In space, no one can hear you whine |

My Jovian Brothers would be sure to set their deep space audio receivers to their frequency to monitor such an event.

I've always thought about doing some radio stuff, but I probably suck at it.

Hmm, I might give it a shot. I've always wanted to be the first DJ in space. Your signal coverage would be amazing.
Got some good tunes in mind to play.
Btw, if you're not getting paid, it doesn't matter if you suck
You only have to be good at it when you're making a salary, and sometimes not even then. -In space, no one can hear you whine |

All the DJs are carebears, roll on some pirate DJs. ----- [22:02] <Kurenin> anyhow, on a more serious note, what did you think of those ideas? [22:02] <Hammerhead> we can't do anything that requires programming
Inactivity wins you. |

The only problem with that (really good) idea is that we currently have conflicting info for what the citizens of the Eve universe know about old Earth. In some places, we're told it's like Atlantis--rumors that may or may not be true. In others, it's referred to directly as common knowledge.
That said, RPed radio shifts would be great ... I guess you could ignore the time/place schism with the music you played and not mention where it came from.
A "call in" show would be great, too.
Know of a news-worthy event or rumor? Contact me. |

Edited by: DJTempest3K on 29/01/2004 12:33:19 I'd give it a shot - but my RP skills are crap enough ingame, let alone trying them on the radio!!!
However, as Doby said - if you want to give it a shot, keep an eye out for a gap in the Schedule and apply
Oh, and I'm not a carebear - carebear on toast in nice tho, when it's grilled properly by a laser... DJ Tempest EVE-Radio - visit us @ www.eve-radio.com Music you can mine, mission & pod too :) |

Edited by: Destin Tyr on 29/01/2004 15:56:53 DJDoby, I emailed you mate. I'll keep an eye on the schedule. I've been playing World War 2 online for the past year and a half, getting bored with it and looking for some RP. SWG isn't cutting it, so I thought I'd give this game a go. So far so good RP with Lasers!
I'll be in-station rigging up a subspace studio in my Condor.
testing one two.....
This one's for all the stinky Pie-Rats camping a gate right now. You know who you are. *cues up "Bad Boys" by the Inner Circle*
CONCORD give you no break... Caldari man don't give you no break..
Watcha gonna do when they come for YOU!?!?! -In space, no one can hear you whine |
